- Another masterclass - this time with BEC. Dive deep into her workflow and technique. She has been on the scene for a long time and is a talented producer.
BEC is a relentless techno talent who has got to the top in a very short space of time. She was head hunted by Pan Pot for their influential Second State label from her first release, then snapped up by Carl Cox's Intec and Adam Beyer's Drumcode. Not only has she put out her music on those labels, but has also played with them as a tour member at showcases everywhere from Burning Man to Tobacco Dock and Warehouse Project. Add in solo tours of North & South America, Asia, India and Europe and much talked about sets at Fabrik Madrid, Watergate Berlin and Sunwaves Romania, and you have one of techno's brightest contemporary stars.
Our thanks also go to Abelton for their support!

This is a recording from the conference program of the Berlin Dance Music Event 2022.
It's not really about specific knobs you turn in ableton, it's about creating a mental flow state of mind and maintaining it as best as possible.
The upfront tips really are key to not make too many time-consuming mistakes which can even keep you away from creating music effectively completely.
More or less strict rules to your environment and mentality can save you months of time to put elsewhere like having a look at other peoples techniques.
For intuitive producers the masterclass is the perfect chance to get a good start and do things your way!
There surely are even more people already in the middle of producing but often times they like to forget about everything that is not the music itself.
Thank you BEC for your insights! It inspired me to finally add ableton to my workflow so I can focus more heavily on the energy created by just jamming on your machines.
Even though limitation and knobs (can) bring fun, playing on a sample-based drum machine is not particularly easy when it comes to planning or creating your sample pool.
Especially when you have to switch out bits of sounds later because you identified something bad that you missed.
If I had the chance to ask a question to BEC I would have liked to hear a bit more about music theory she puts extra emphasis on or didn't pay enough attention in the past (or she finds hard to break the rules of successfully). Nothing worse than those details that can potentially add up in the end and either give enormous power or take it all off your tracks.
Thanks BEC for talking about the mindset and psychological aspects of creativity. Learning about mindfulness helps a lot, not just in music making and creativity, but all of life. Also recognising when you are getting bogged down or wasting time. Again, good life lessons
I'trying to finish my tracks for years but get bored very fast this helps me much and motivated get one ready soon!!....Thanks Bec !!😍.....and don't listen to the jelous haters in the comments🤪
Really like this class
this series is amazing getting so much from them and this one is awesome especially 🙏🏾
Very helpful class. I love it.
Thank you for posting this. 🤗
Such a great masterclass. Huge thanks to both BEC and the creators of it. BEC did an outstandig class, I highly appreciate it! THX!
I'd really love to see more female producers in this specific precious event - and in general.
Kind wishes, Yasin
Did u even watch this garbage
Where does this need in people to be compulsary friendly come from? This course is trash, she shows basically nothing - yet you people just _have_ to pamper her *ss! Why!?
Really enjoyed this class. Learned heaps. Many thanks Bec and Berlin Dance Music Event. Much appreciated.
Liked this a lot, thanks!

full loop happens when your progression is resolved or continued as per the requirement.
It is nice when you have Ghost Producers do the work for you 😆
What do you mean 😂?
Starts at 35:00
the stuff she shares before are more important 😊
I saw her performing at pyramid amnesia, she was stunning
If only Drumcode kept making/signing music from the late 90s' early 2000s' Giving me CODE RED all day... Shit label now
Shit techno masterclass 😂
Seconded.
Well, she seems to have some clue what she's talking about. But just as all the other material out there this course shows basically nothing. Sure she shows off how to use some of the plugins she uses. But there arguably is a whole _world_ of difference between this and her actual tracks. So either she just refuses to talk about the details that make the difference between an amateur production and a professional one, or she doesn't know herself and has ghost producers (just like a lot of "producers" these days)..
in my journey on trying to improve my sound to a real professional level i found NOTHING
@@discomyass Yeah. Not a whole lot of material out there that goes into detail - if any.. Do you have a Soundcloud page?
I think a lot of them keep stuff to themselves, most other professions like to teach people skills to pass on knowledge but not the music industry it’s more of who you know than what you know.
@@defectiveresistor Absolutely! The music industry is exceptionally secretive in that regard. It's _all_ about connections. That being said: you'd be surprised how many of the most successful artists have ghost producers..
@@DelasVC These guys do love to show off their plugins, courses and their sample packs, a more cynical person would probably just think they are all in it together, as for the ghost producing (something I’ve only recently discovered) I suppose it’s no different to a lot of singers, bands etc that don’t write their own music.
35 minutes of BS.
this techno masterclass is meh...
The music itself is good. But all that talk... Its not balanced well. I guess its hard for the people in the audience to not fall asleep
No movement on his tracks tafuq?
Refunds all round.. what a joke
Hahahah someone beat me to it .. terrible .. wtf did we just watch
How many Berlin techno djs does it take to change a light bulb
seen that arrangement and sounds.... gesh awful, and I despite myself a, not a producer, how this woman get relevant
zero sound design, zero drum skills, zero groove. dogs hit business techno
