I just got turned on to www.curldefinition.com/ - I do my coils and they last a week with no reapplication of product or retwisting. I LOVE this for my hair and 5 days later, I still get compliments on it. I'm still learning the technique, but the products are B.OM.B.COM.
My grand daughter is mixed and she has extremely tight curls. I've never ever seen hair so thick in my life, I love the coil hair style.. can u please tell me what product to use to lock in & hold the coils? Trying to do her hair everyday before school wears me out...I keep her hair conditioned. But always pulled up.. please help! Thank u in advance & God bless 💖
Hello there! I am glad you are considering this hairstyle. I can definitely understand your frustrations about having to do your granddaughter's hair everyday before school. This hair style should last for about a week if kept and maintained properly. You can also do simple braided hairstyles on her or twists. I have a few videos on simple hairstyles you can try. To answer your question, I do not know of any extra products to use in order to lock and hold the coil... as a temporary style. However, if you are looking to permanently lock her hair or start dreads, there are plenty videos on YT that can help you and provide you with proper guidance. I don't know much about dread/locs. When it comes to maintain this hairstyle, there are a few things you can do. You can follow her normal night hair routine (moisturizing scalp and hair) then wrap her hair with a durag or a scarf. *Make sure the coils are in the direction you want them to fall before wrapping them because when you take off the wrap in the morning, the coils will look exactly how you set them underneath the wrap. I hope this helps!
@@oyizapitan5652 yes, U've answered my questions & more.. thank u so very much! I just want the coils, not Dreadlocks. The coils are beautiful & once a week is perfect. Once again thank u & God bless 💖
How exciting! I hope your hair turns out the way you want them. To answer your questions... I wouldn't recommend washing your hair unless you are ready to get rid of the style. How well you take care of your hair, will determine how long this hairstyle will last without you getting them re-twisted. I would suggest that you follow your normal night hair routine (moisturizing scalp and hair) then wrap your hair with a durag or a scarf. *Make sure the coils are in the direction you want them to fall before wrapping them because when you take of the wrap in the morning, your coils will look exactly how you set them underneath the wrap. Yes! Completing the back of the hair is definitely a challenge! I would suggest using a hand-held mirror to see the reflection of the back of your hair on your bathroom mirror. So you would stand in front of your bathroom mirror with your back turned (I personally sit on the counter so that I am closer to the bathroom mirror)... then hold a hand-held mirror in front of you so that you can see the reflection of the back of our hair. *I hope my explanation made sense lol. You can also try the 360 degree 3 way mirror. I believe you can get it from Amazon, Target, or Walmart. I hope this helps!
I had the same experience with this Eco Styler gel but there are other brands that won't make your hair flaky. So I would say in order to avoid flakes and maintain the style, use a generous amount of oil to seal the coils and go over it again daily.
@@Adonya I just did this for the first time, after my big chop. It took me 1 hour and 40 minutes. But I didn't do them as small as she did here. It probably would look much prettier, this way, but I don't have the patience or energy for the small ones.
Someone suggested I do this to my hair, and I was like "Do whaaaaa?!?"? Now, I am confident I can give it my best shot thanks to you. 🥰
Glad I could help!
THIS is actual 4c hair. Thank you! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The 14 in one is a absolute great product for our 4c hair. It makes it soft 👍🏾
It's funny I had a hard time coiling my hair when it was long but now that It's short it is my to do style love it!
if it lasts at least a week im happy. looks nice
I’m so terrible at this like the ends of my hair are twisted but the roots are always puffy idk what I’m doing wrong I can’t get the root to twist
Looks very pretty! Thanks for sharing!
How does she make it look so easy? I struggle with this on my short hair. I can’t grab it 🤦🏾♀️
Haha same
Smaller sections are easier to grab and handle. Try making your coils smaller. Thanks for watching!
Yes I struggle too I will try to make my sections smaller
Absolutely beautiful, I'm going to try this.
So beautiful!!! Love it!!!!
Those turned out pretty

@@oyizapitan5652 update: they look amazing!! Im loving the style..how would you recommend applying moisturizer?
Make sure you don't leave them in too long as they will start to loc- trust me, I know! Two weeks tops for my 4c type hair.
How long can the hairstyle last?
Mine lasted 1 week and a couple days. It also depends on your hair type. Mine is 4C and same length as hers
if I want to remove that, invece to cut it?
Thank you dear
How long does style keep
❤
Does this also work with men?
Yes, it does. As long as the person's hair is naturally curly, this style should work.

@@oyizapitan5652 I can not do it, when I try it does not curl, I have cut my hair as well as yours, I made myself the big cut. 🥺
@@mayrenisantana6282 I'm sorry to hear that. I would suggest coiling smaller sections and making sure the hair is coated with enough gel.

@@oyizapitan5652 Wow! You have the patience of a saint! Although, I am one of those lazy naturals, I am still going to try this style. Wish me luck! 😃

@@christinacarlyn240 I give you props for doing it. My hair is now at a length where coils such as these would not hold.
