i never bothered messing with the crosshairs cause i never really believed it would make a difference, but i finally gave in and changed my widow crosshair to a dot and i’ve no joke been carrying ever since

For me I recommend dot it’s very good if you want to improve
i have my crosshair as an extremely tiny + its better for visibility

I think this is the best crosshair guide on youtube. Ive been looking for guides, and yes, everyone talks about crosshairs, but they dont explain WHY its better to use crosshairs and details about every setting. This video clarifies everything though. Thanks

the lines on the bottom of hanzo cross hair are where your arrows go depending on how much you hold his shot
for example if you tap hanzos weapon it will go on the bottom of his crosshair
this kinda works, but it isn't functional to use imo. I covered the reasons why in a TikTok I posted actually! :)

Lol. The default crosshair was to measure distance and when to release the arrow if there was a hero walking in a straight line at given distances. However, Hanzo has gone through changes and the crosshair doesn't work as it used to.

There exist un setting now you can just put on to your crosshair turns automatically into a dot when zoomed in

Do you have any suggestion for whose keeps losing track of his crosshair after some time playing? I keep changing the color of it in order to "reboot" my brain but I guess there must be something better to do. It only happens in OW and once this is by far the most colorful and fastpaced game I play, I think improving color quality, contrast and such things shall help with this "OW eye soreness". But I havent found anything for that yet.
hm maybe an eye test? jkjk, I'd probably recommend sticking with green - it does stand out a lot more than the other colours imo. you could also try changing it per map? for example, Ilios is a VERY bright map, so maybe you're losing sight of a bright-coloured crosshair in this setting? worth a try at least! :)
@@BaileysOver I did a lot of eye tests haha, there is nothing. Thing is, these tests doesn't gets eye fatigue and such stuffs that I think are the cases here. Got myself a new monitor, 240hz, HDR and IPS. The extra hz are good but the HDR stuff seems to help the most with my condition, need more testing tough.
oh yeah I was just kidding man! I imagine quite a few people have a similar issue :( try switching based on maps, maybe that could help?
@@BaileysOver yep, Ive noticed that its mostly map related but after the eyes get really tired, you feel it even (if just a little), in every one of them. Thing is: blizzard fell in love with red illumination and that made the problem to escale a lot. In maps like Orisa University (evening) all you see are dark shadows moving haha. Feel like that in most of the scenarios with that kind of light. At first its terrible, then your eyes kind of adapt to it, and after some time playing they get tired, so there is a little window I can enjoy playing. Now Im trying different color options (in game and in the monitor) to try and extend that window of time.
ohh yeah maybe the in game options might help you out - I forgot they existed! honestly, I kinda have the same thing when it comes to using smaller (phone/tablet) screens for long periods of time. if my eyes gotta focus too much, they kinda get tired lmao :')

Should i use the dot for every hero?
I use the crosshair style for every hero and the dot style for snipers - but honestly both work!
What about kiriko which one? Dot or crosshair?
I personally use crosshair! scoped heroes are the only ones I prefer a dot on :)
@BaileysOver ah okay so same with mei and others? Cause I know for mei and kirko they kinda snipe
yup yup! with projectile heroes, you mostly just want to be aiming in a general direction, so I wouldn't say the precision is that important in a crosshair :)

Why dot on ana? There's no headshot multiplier.
true! it's more of a comfort thing. when I'm in a scope, I'm looking around my crosshair more than I am if I'm unscoped. so I feel like I don't need a full crosshair layout to identify and align my shots - either would work though!

Why does this start with a grown man complaining about crosshairs like it’s the most obscene thing he’s ever experienced. Like ok we get it u can’t aim bc the color of the crosshair is wrong. Why else would ur aim be trash.
hey man! I was just posing the reasons as to why you should consider switching the colour up. every aspect of a crosshair is entirely personal, and will only make a tiny difference to your accuracy, but I wanted to share what has worked for me as a (somewhat) experienced Overwatch player :)
I struggle with Hanzo but I change my cross hair and I just got a 25 kill game I'm dead . God bless you bro 😁
