Ditch the double chain. Not needed, adds weight and you need to change the front cover. Cam and heads would be all you need. If you want shave the heads downs to bump up CR
@@UnTamedMustang usually have to run a different front cover for the added depth needed. A double, especially for this application is way overkill and prob a power robber
I still get summit catalogs that are thicc, I wanna put a cam in my 95 Sierra but it’s so confusing with the obd1 crap and all the tune stuff is sketchy lol wish it was that easy. I heard some can swap in without a tune but 🤷🏻♂️ always love gm content 😫😂
@Jack Cecil Once you see what this engine will do after bolt ons, tear it down put new rod bearings and a set of good new piston rings and gap them for nitrous. maybe a performance oil pump. Arp connecting rod bolts and head studs. I guarantee this engine will hold a 200 to 300 shot of nitrous on stock rods and pistons. Power nation hit a 305 with 150 250 and 300 shot before the piston lands cracked because they did a completely untouched stock bottom end it would have held it if they gaped rings. I guarantee this engine will run 10s easily with enough nitrous
So silly to spend money on a 305, could get a 383 pretty cheap from blueprint engines it would double your hp after mods to the 305. You already know this so all I can conclude is your bored lol.
I spent 100 bucks on a cam. 100 on an intake. And 150 on some headers. 350 bucks isn’t getting me anywhere near another motor let alone a 383 stroker lol.

You can still get the catalogs. They send them periodically but you can also order one from them for free
Summit still sends out the big catalogs but they just come randomly in the mail.

Camshaft and chain and timing cover will be out anyways . May even need replacing. So why not.

I always delete the egr/ but I ripped the ac/ heater and put the delete plate on my fire wall but i always kep it so minimal in the engine bay
Just throw an iron block 6.0 ls in the elco with a "sloppy stage 2" cam and be done it with it. Maybe spray it with some nitrous and go racing.
