nice knife, I am surprised by the way the heat treat is done. If it is 12C27 which is stainless I think the heat treat needs to be done a bit differently, in particular I thought you were supposed to hold the knife at the correct temperature for a while before the oil quench. I have done several knifes with carbon steel and if you do get good results with 12c27 with such a simple heat treat I'd be very interested to try it.
Marek Tabi bro you should make a company that sells custom knives Also could I work with you on your UA-cam channel I make stuff like this too fuck this sounds so unprofessional anyways would you need or want a partner
I absolutely hate being the safety police because I do dumb stuff all the time but the band saw is better for small peices like that. I knocked a fingernail off on my table saw doing tiny peices exactly like you just did. It has a tendency to pull small pieces and tornado them, hence drawing your hands in to the blade. I did small peices for about 12 years before it finally got me. Fortunately the nail mostly grew back.
Well done ( I am from Thiers, in France, the french capital of knives), and I've never seen this lock system. Nexte time, you'll do the same with a damas blade ?
This is some level 10 DYI badassery. After too many years doing stuff it never occurred to me to flip over a portable belt sander to use as a standing belt sander. Seems obvious now.
beautiful knife, but all I can think is how often that locking mechanism is going for snag on a pocket, or may hurt the user if they're hand slides up the handle
looks great but that locking peg would get in the way a lot, this is why no knife uses it ever, why not make a traditional lock? either way it looks great.
Very great work Tabi! But you really should put music in your videos, it's hard to get your watch-time without keeping the viewer hooked. Great work though, keep it up!
If it were me I wouldn’t quench the knife I would slowly drop it in also the heat marks indicate how hard the metal will get when you set it in water. And when you put it in the oven aren’t you just softening the metal?
Is there any way to see how you made the locking mechanism? I would love to be able to see better!
One of the best knife making videos for people who just interested. Simple design, minimum instruments.
You do very impressive work....especially considering the tools you have available to work with. Congratulations on a job well done.
interesting locking mechanism. I've never seen one before!
NIce!
Scary moment there with the glass jar i.e. had one explode on me once and never again!
Thanks for sharing.. Enjoyed!
Very nice. Love the brass accents in the handle!
thanks :)
Gorgeous knife. I really love the brass inlays!
I enjoyed watching it. Thank you ❤️

Wow, the knife looks beautiful!
Paráda! Si taký slovenský Jimmy Diresta :D
Pekná robota
That was awesome never seen a lock like that. Pretty cool bro
Don't understand the locking mechanism. But great craftsmanship. Especially with limited tools
Looks really pretty.
Do you ever plan on selling a knife or maybe do a giveaway?
That's a great idea :)
Thank you. I dont plan to sell them, maybe in the future when I will have them so many and will not know what to do with them :D
Marek Tabi bro you should make a company that sells custom knives

Nice knife. Love the handles
craftmanship all the way
Nice work ! Way to take charge and just go for it.
Nice knife you are the best making knifes
good knife but when you do the sharpness test your not supposed to use force because it's not percice for sharpness
how did you get the metal brass looking hex on a thread bolt. Weld it or did come like that cause wtf
This is some level 10 DYI badassery. After too many years doing stuff it never occurred to me to flip over a portable belt sander to use as a standing belt sander. Seems obvious now.
David R I’ve done it for along time. Make sure to clamp it down it helps in many ways
Yeah I don’t have a standing belt sander I do the same with a portable one
Very nice work especially with the brass/wood handle
thanks bro :)
ten mechanizmus se dá plánek sehnat kde? Jinak super nápad!
beautiful knife, but all I can think is how often that locking mechanism is going for snag on a pocket, or may hurt the user if they're hand slides up the handle
Great job. Making one always beats talking about it
great knife as always
Can you explain how the lock works?? I don't understand how it's locking/unlocking?
Slip joint
whats that
Great work
Nice knife, but does the flipper not allow it to flip nice? I find this must be the hardest part to overcome with knife design.
That's beautiful
thanks :)
Pekná robota Marek :)
He made it look very easy.
Excelente trabalho PARABÉNS
1:12, What kind of glue do you use? Thanks.
good job!
Other than that good job on the knife
Do you have plans online somewhere?
that is really pretty
How thick do you leave the edge before the quench ?
Very cool but my favorite part was your dog ;)
Nice.
I love it. I want it but how can I buy it?
what do you call this solution 6:17 ? Thank you!
Nice Job 👌🏼
thanks :)
Good skills
using an angle grinder with metal cuting disc to cut wood? is it because u dont sell your knives?
awesome!
hodně povedené!!!
How many days did it take you to make the knife?
beautiful
Where'd you get your belt sander?
Which oil r u using buddy for quince...
Nice job except for that pin sticking out. Every time you put it in your pocket it's going to get caught.
What kind of glue did you use?
Nice
Good video. Sucks that the most important part was left out.
That knife is pretty sexy. I really appreciate you making these videos of you showing us your cool talents.
What steel did you use??
Superbe !
Did you just use a table saw for a cross cut???
do you sell knives? I've seen a lot of your videos and you make some awesome stuff
Mate your oven is so clean 🤣
You must see it after 4 years of use 🤣
Hey could someone tell me what type of wood the first wood he cut was??? It would be very helpful. :)
Bubinga wood... It's in the description! ;-)
@@NaeFliesOnMe THANKS! Sadly I now feel stupid...😥
buen trabajo . Me suscribo. Saludos
Can u make a falchion knife
looks great but that locking peg would get in the way a lot, this is why no knife uses it ever, why not make a traditional lock? either way it looks great.
muy bonito
Very great work Tabi! But you really should put music in your videos, it's hard to get your watch-time without keeping the viewer hooked. Great work though, keep it up!
Yeah i can relate to that :)

Dam, how do you move so fast?
Its a magic 🤣
Bu çakını fiyatı ne kadar
what oil you used at 6:10? can you tell me please.
Most likely vegetable oil or any other kind of cooking oil.
Beautiful one!
If it were me I wouldn’t quench the knife I would slowly drop it in also the heat marks indicate how hard the metal will get when you set it in water. And when you put it in the oven aren’t you just softening the metal?
Mike Knupfer you have to quench the knife to make it hard, and you put it in the oven to lessen the brittleness
S!ngularity gotcha but I was taught not to just drop in it there but rather put it in water gradually so it doesn’t crack
he quenched in oil
slow quenching is for water, he used oil
Mike Knupfer don't use water
Keep up bro
thanks :)

Sorry but when you quench the blade DO NOT ever do it with anything glass always do it in something metal
I got sad when your belt sander died
