You don’t have to make colour scripts but since this project is a lot longer/more detailed than I’ve ever done before I wanted to include it! You can always pick and choose what parts you want to include in your animations - so if you don’t want to go with a solid matte pass you don’t have to :) personally I found it really helped with making the backgrounds and knowing what palettes I had decided on
Short but packed with information, love it! Also im so happy you mentioned song of the sea and kubo and the two strings, those two films have great cinematography and their character designs are simple yet memorable🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Huge thanks to your content, information that you give much more profitable than in my uni. One question which bothers me a lot, after u painted black and white, how do u color those pictures? In multiply layer? When I make it this grey mixes with my colors and I hate it😩
So glad the videos have helped you!! On layers above the greys I’ll use different colours with blending modes to get the colour and effect I want. Overlay, screen, colour dodge etc! I usually flick through the blending modes to see which ones I like best!
