These guys are amazing. I used to listen to their radio channels when I lived in the Boulder area, they work their butts off, they get called out to some really crazy stuff.

Another example of how services that don’t yield a profit are not valued under capitalism and thus rely on volunteers and donations. It’s ridiculous that these highly skilled rescuers are not paid - they should be there own local government agency like the police department or fire department. Democratic socialism is unduly stigmatized despite its ability to provide services for those who would fall through the cracks of capitalism.
Cant thank these guys enough for what they have done. They have saved multiple of my friends lives!
