- This is a sermon I preached at Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church (PCA) on John 1:1-3 about Christ as the Eternal Word and Wisdom of God by whom all things were made.

This was such an edifying sermon, it was the fastest 30+ minutes I've heard in recent times. Thank you so much for this, brother Anthony, but I could have sat for another hour listening to you unfold the person of Christ. Each new evidence that is brought forth, only confirms that there has never been, nor ever will be, anyone on this planet that is like our Lord Jesus.

UGH! Yes, "couldn't" was a typo, and I'm Queen of typos, but I just corrected that! Thanks for not taking me at my word, and getting offended. I rely too much on my spell checker (sometimes worried that I'll even wear it out), and I guess I didn't bother proofreading my comment after/before publishing it. Many of my early morning comments need corrections, because my heart doesn't start beating until noon.
I enjoy listening to Christians when I'm sipping morning coffee. It helps start me off on the right foot, even when it isn't reflected in my errors. I so appreciate your ministry, and your teachings about Islam, so feel free to challenge anything I say that sounds a bit stupid.

He then hacks computers, phone etc so nobody can respond to You or anyone else, I already unsubscribed from WYM to try and stop his harassment. And I loved that site since seeing Jon on David Wood's channel.

Truly God’s hand is upon your, Anthony. He sought you out and remade the man who you were so as to become for Him, a mouthpiece so that the Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ, energized by the Spirit of Truth, can use your voice to bring back what was from the beginning - as promised that all things should be restored so that each man must have a choice, clearly stated. It is a privilege to be accounted worthy to sit and listen to all the our God has put into you, and that you in love for the triune God, brings forth.
I do pray for all those who listen to you, will be changed in the way which God has purposed.

I am currently reading about the cathar heresy and appearantly they read out loud from John 1 in their meetings. I never quite understood why that particular gospel appealed to them as it openly declares that the Word became flesh and they were docetists, but you made the connection between the incarnation of the Word and the Wisdom, which in their view could be seen as gnosis, much more understandable.

It's never occurred to me until now that the scripture says"..the Word was God". Was, was, was, was. Could it be that we need to consider whether there was a meaningful reason John didn't write "is" instead of "was"?
Hey, you identified Jesus with the wisdom that’s being talked about in proverbs but when I look at that passage it’s clear to me that wisdom in proverbs is personified as a female . So how do we reconcile that since Jesus was a man? When I try to use that passage to prove to others that Jesus is the wisdom himself I fear I’ll come across this objection. Thanks for your lecture. It was very enlightening.
