    turning around without jibing is really easy: just do another catapult in the other direction. That's basically how I turn around. I let my falls decide the direction.

    Well explained, I'm just restarting my windsurfer career at 50 having never mastered the water start. Wish me luck

      I learned the waterstart on the ground first, and when i was able to do it on the ground, i tried in the water and it worked !
      If you achieve beachstart, you will need a little flexibility in the legs, and you will success.

      Good luck, I’m restarting my windsurfing journey at 56, also never learned to water start, need some luck as well. Fortunately there’s mounds of equipment (mostly old) now going for a song.

    after 10 years of windsurfing, most of it self-taught, by video or studying books this SIR is by far the best teaching motivating nail-it-to-the-point video EVER!..thanxxxs...perfect explanation (but it comes 8 years to LATE! 😅) Greets philipp

    under the sail? i usually.end up over the sail with the catapult... and just got a fractured toe capsule coz my foot was caught smashed between mast and board

    The position at 2:30 I was near drowning but I kept cool, reached down and unentangled my hook from the rope. Panicking would have caused death.
