Superb!! boys and girls here presented to you........ real music and the heart beat of the legendary Led Zeppelin which sadly stopped beating 1980, Led never recovered :(
I was young back in 1973, too! (19) You can see Bonzo used the largest drum sticks (like SRV used the thickest strings, #13). I read that Jimmy went back to the hotel for a rest while Moby Dick was going on.
His command of phrasing, technique, and dynamics makes it evident he studied the Big Band and Jazz greats. And his use of the Moeller technique also shows he studied and paid attention to the nuances and details of his craft on a level most don't bother with.
Great reaction, but this actually one Bonham's shorter versions of Moby Dick. This was near the beginning of when they started doing 3.5 to 4+ hour shows.
Bonham's arms and drumsticks were moving so damn fast, they were actually producing "tracers". The trails of light you see when when something is moving ridiculously fast, it actually looks like slow motion after awhile, cause you're eyes are struggling to see something moving at mach 2.
I'm sorry, but I beg to differ on your comment that Bonzo was improvising. If you were to put together all the occasions he drummed Moby Dick they would all finish within 10 seconds of each other. This is not a drum solo, but a reaching from deep inside his soul. I've been a fan since 1971 and I have heard and watched this more times than a Sunday roast.
And he was just getting started! Not one of the best.......he was THE best ever period. His rhythmic ability, use of dynamics, and technical skills are off the chart. If you listen to the arrangement of a lot of their music you will understand that Bonzo was a huge factor in the sound and acoustics in the background. He actually got them to record albums in stairways and such to enhance the sound
JOHN (Bonzo) BONHAM is A SELF taut DRUMMER And WHEN his SON JASON BONHAM WAS VERY YOUNG JOHN BONHAM taut him HOW TO PLAY DRUM'S AND NOW HE is A VERY GOOD DRUMMER 🥁 AND JOHN BONHAM WAS THE GREATEST DRUMMER WHO EVER lived AND HE died in 1980 FROM ALCOHOL ABUSE
John Bonham did more soloing with Jimmy Page as side arm, Than many bassist/drummer play off the other... To thier"Phase Shifter/ music wand intro to "In the Evening".
Yes! It's not a drum solo, it's a drum song.. with a guitar thrown in to start and end!
In The Netherlands we call you: 'een zeikerd'
And bass
@@wilcobastiaannet261 In the russian language we say: Иди на хуй
John's drum kit was given to him by Carmine Appice (same one Carmine used). It does not have the 2nd bass drum because the band said it was too much.
He had it for Avery short time, but you couldn’t hear anyone else.
Superb!! boys and girls here presented to you........ real music and the heart beat of the legendary Led Zeppelin which sadly stopped beating 1980, Led never recovered :(
Even with all the drumming Bonzo does in this solo he never missed a beat with the high hat's,, amazing
It was Jimmy pages birthday that day, and he's wearing a sweater his grandmother made for his bday!
I describe Bonham as human liquid. He was so fluid in his technique
People don’t seem to understand how rhythmic Bonzo is. He doesn’t hack away ever.
40 years ago on 9/25/80 John died. Such an amazing thing that we are still listening to him and LZ 40 years after they broke up due to his death.!!!!
Old school. Best group in rock history. Say goodbye to other group.

You were totally correct when saying when he died it was a loss to the band but it was more of a loss to music a total legend
And THAT is why he was the best drummer ever! Yeah this was an early one...Plant was like 20 years old! None over 25!
His command of phrasing, technique, and dynamics makes it evident he studied the Big Band and Jazz greats. And his use of the Moeller technique also shows he studied and paid attention to the nuances and details of his craft on a level most don't bother with.
best drum solo and best guitar riff in history!
Bonzo was 24 when video was filmed, and he does the same solo in the led Zeppelin concert in Madison square garden in 1973
9:14 lol his longest drum solo was 34 minutes long in 1977
as well as being amazing, it gives the rest of the band a smoke break.
peace (from the UK)
Great reaction, but this actually one Bonham's shorter versions of Moby Dick. This was near the beginning of when they started doing 3.5 to 4+ hour shows.
The longer versions get pretty dull and repetitive, his longest was about 34 minutes which is just way too much
LEGEND
Thanks for checking out the GOATS of Rock ❤
The greatest drummer of all time john Bonham and ever will be led zeppelin best band ever and ever will be case dismissed
Need to do the whole Royal Albert Hall
Bonham's arms and drumsticks were moving so damn fast, they were actually producing "tracers". The trails of light you see when when something is moving ridiculously fast, it actually looks like slow motion after awhile, cause you're eyes are struggling to see something moving at mach 2.
Four of the best came together to become the best.
The Led Zeppelin Drum Song!
This is hands down the beat drum song ever!
The best intro de one song of history of rock
In the Light
And no Lessons Bonzo !!!! 20 yrs old here
They all leave, their going to the bathroom, eating, drinking doing a some smoke while he's drumming away lol
He’s a Beast! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yes, truly amazing to always watch Bonzo beat those drums. It's by far a shorter version as he's pushed em' to a very creative 20-30 min performance.
And that's why Bonhams the best...

Their is always only one... Master! Sir! John Bonam.
Longest and the best! Bonzo 100% best.
The mighty John Bonham!

Have a listen to pj proby’s Jim’s blues led zeppelin are the backing band and was recorded before they released there first album
Jimmy in sweater his momma made him
That was a Cow bell not the pole of the symbol. Look closely you'll see the Cow Bell move on the stand.
I would like to add Ian paice and also I as a reactor like a reaction to my reaction
John Bonham did more soloing with Jimmy Page as side arm,
Than many bassist/drummer play off the other...
To thier"Phase Shifter/ music wand intro to "In the Evening".
Do Moby Dick from Song Remains The Same. Way longer version. Like Dazed and Confused it kept getting longer. At least that's what she said.
ya know why they look so young? BECAUSE THEY ARE! Bonzo is a sandwich of Ginger Baker and Keith Moon w/ Max Roach in between.
He was only 19 here
By the way the England fans (Sucked) Maybe the best live Rock concert Ever!
Maybe we English are just more refined , I guess you're a loud Yank? ( no offence intended )
Watch the version from the movie the dong remains the same at MSG, a good 10 minute longer
Bonzo is the best!
People say that John Bonham was the best drummer he was not, John Bonham what's a percussion master that could not be surpassed
He was 21 in this video.
It was common if Bonzo did a 30 minute solo.
U should check out the moby dick version of 1972 from
HOW THE WEST WAS WON
it's the best solo ever by John bonham
Bonham is not one of the best...he is the best
Sounds like he was heavily influenced by jazz and maybe big bands of years gone bye. Art and talent and passion.
You think you heard it before but you don't know it's a drum solo I'd have to call that into question
And not one cow bell.
MOBY Dick is A TUNE NOT A SONG
"The whole band looking so young" ... well check the age of the video.... Kid... make some mathematikes...
You talk too much
he barely talked at all.. why do u watch reaction videos so you can just stare at someone watching something ?
U have kept the screen so small and your face so big 🤨🤨 pls don't repeat I'm unsubscribing from this channel right now
you're a jerk
