- CAN I SAVE THIS JUNGLE LIKE FOOTPATH? LARGEST OVERGROWN FOOTPATH IN AUSTRALIA? BRAVE TRANSFORMATIONI MOW AND TRANSFORM AN URBAN BLOCK OF OVERGROWN ROAD FRONTAGE FOR ELDERLY LADY OWNER PART 1. I mow and landscape an overgrown and neglected multi-property street frontage for free. It was clear from the start no one has bothered to maintain this property for some time. It had a bit of everything from mowing and uprooting native Australian grasses to hedging whipper snipping and shovelling. I also encountered a strange smoking man, when he saw me he wouldn't come close. I also knew of his existence for the cigarette butts deposited in one specific location. However, I never thought I would see him once let alone multiple times. I was told by the business owner next door that an old lady owns the property. He said the Council have given her many warnings to address the overgrown street frontage part of the property. However, it has fallen on deaf ears. Apparently, she bought the property many years back and it lies in a state of disuse. I was told she is known to walk around the area, so I can imagine her shock when she walks past and sees her property frontage transformed. This was a big undertaking the likes I've never attempted before.

Great job. You brought back memories of my past. I worked on overgrown lawns and weeds. I'm retired now. I loved working on people's yards. You're a dedicated person. It's so satisfying after you're done that's what I miss most.
Thank you. Yes, I'm glad that it brings back good memories. I appreciate the compliment. Yes, it is. It is also satisfying when I come back home and watch the videos and then make a you tube video.

That's HERO work. God bless and thank you! Looks beautiful.
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
Huge thank you from all those pedestrians that can now walk on footpath. Seems to me that the council should be doing this but if you didn’t do it it wouldn’t get done. Such a mess, good job, from Rosie aka Ollie, Geelong 🤗🙏🥰
Yes, should be many more using it now. Appreciate it Ollie, thanks mate.
Huge amount of HARD work….looks amazing!!

Great job JB . 💯👍
Appreciate you Laura, thank you.
Nice job, it looks like that is the night time party street by the looks of the stubbies.😁
Thank you. It is more of a druggie area I would say. I even found a syringe.
Looking good, such tough grasses could do with an axe job. Cheers from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thank you. I would have been much better off bringing my utility mower and a pair of pruning shears. Thanks for watching my videos from the Netherlands.
Thank You for cleaning up places that the county should be, wish there were more like you, Great Job!!😊
I appreciate that, thank you very much.💚👍

Heck of a job, considering those conditions. Nice job
Thanks very much. 👍
You made the best of the nature strip the retaining wall irregular and failing encroaching on the sidewalk, the area safer for a busy parking area.
Yes, thank you. Its much safer for all who use it now.
You always do such a great job 🎉
Thank you very much for the compliment.💚👍

Yes. thank you for commenting.
Wear is your GLOVES and Mask Thank you for doing what you are doing Bless 🙌
Yes, I appreciate your support .Thank you.
Are you sure you're doing the right property? There's no slopes. Would love to see you wear a mask in such dusty situafions.
Hehe, well it's done now.Yeah, a mask probably would have been handy however, I find it hard to use a mask when doing strenuous activity.
You probably saved that sidewalk from cracking all over the place.
Yes, I would assume so.
Amazing 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much
Good work. 👍
Thank you very much.👍
Council don't bother, the old woman who owns it doesn't care... at least you do...
Thanks mate for the comment. Yeah, you're right. I never looked at it like that.
Good job down under guy.
Thank you
Nice to see you again mate, another epic job, well done 😃 I wonder if Mr Smoker knows Mr Corona 🤣🤣
I appreciate it mate, thank you. Yeah, it's been a few weeks or more. Mr smoker was a strange character, I saw him many times on day one but never knew it was him that was Mr smoker until I saw him in his perch when I was leaving. I was like , ahhh I see. He'd keep coming by wanting to smoke in his spot but when he saw me he would turn and go the other way. I think Mr Corona is a different guy and a one-off guy.
@@JBmowingco 🤣 Too funny

On voit que le boulot n'avait pas l'air facile .. Mais bravo beau boulot !
Thank you very much.
Please protect your Lungs with a mask. Great job!
Yes I would like to but I prefer not to when using physical exertion .
Fantastic outcome no effort. On a side note why the number plate blocking?
Thank you. Well I blur them out because I guess people don't want their plates online. I don't think there is a law against it, so maybe I won't block out anymore.
Just a suggestion but to save your back you may want to get a long handled square faced shovel. bending so much with that small one will cause you a lot of back trouble as you get older.
I have one but I prefer the smaller shovel. I do use it occasionally, probably I should use it more often.
@@JBmowingco You will actually have better leverage standing than bending and put less strain on your back not just shoveling but lifting as well, speaking from experience it made a world of difference for me as my back was shot and standing made it easier with the long handle still use them.
good job , you need a long handled shovel with added handle to save your back
Thank you, yes I have one but I am used to using a smaller shovel.
You need to raise the level up on the lawnmower!
Ok thank you, I will.
If you're going to throw branches and garbage over the fence, you should edit that out.
Possibly your'e right. It is a huge block inside that needs heavy machinery to clean up. The small amount that I threw inside is nothing.
You need a hedgr trimer attachment to your weed eater... to tackle overgrown. It would assist your speed and strength to tackle these projects... your region has such strict council guidelines...yet they don't adhere to their own issues, fro. Safety on basic walking areas
💯 I do. Yeah, I guess they give people a long time to clean things up. Eventually though, If they have to pay someone to clean it up the council add the cost to their land rates.
Great job, I was worried for you encountering snakes or spiders. You need gloves.
Thank you. Yes, always a chance but not as likely in this particular spot. Gloves were an option most definitely.
and you should have buy a coffee to help fuel isn't cheap c
That would be nice.
Hello from Sweden 🇸🇪
Thanks for watching from Sweden 💚👍
Your camera must have fallen, all I saw was the roadway
I don't know what you mean.
How come you didn't weed eat that grass some before Mowing it just wondering? But you did a really good job cleaning up😅
The mower went over it well without the catcher. Once I ditched the catcher, that solved the issue. However, I still should have brought my utility mower, it would have made short work of it.
What do you do with the yard waste? Good job but worried about your back get a longer shovel 😅
In this particular case, because it is an abandoned block basically I placed the gardening waste inside the block. In every other job I haul the waste away.
Yes, I have a longer shovel but some reason I prefer the smaller one.
How come you don't pick garbage up first before Mowing would that not help out just wanted to know 🤔
Hard to go through all that long grass and flush everything out. Somethings stay hidden until your right over it. Most of the rubbish was paper which breaks down well.
Would it not be easier just to rake the dry grass up and put in the bag ?
If you watch my other videos, that is my normal M.O. However, it wasn't to bad just to roll over it again with the catcher. Overall, I mowed that strip three times.
Yes we can't put flax in our green bin either, gas to go in the red one
Oh ok, I didn't know that. All green waste here can go in the green waste bin.
Turn the bendy plank around the other sideways would the council tell he to clean the outside kg get property?
Yes, that was an option. Yes, the council sent her mail advising her to clean it up. Could be the entire property also. It is a huge block.
Isn’t it port Kembla
💯
Dude great job but get yourself an edger!
Thank you. I have done many lawns now without one. I think it's time to get one. Maybe a three wheeler or maybe a pole edger.
🖒🖒🖒
I appreciate your hard work but was disappointed that you continued the littering by throwing boards and packing straps onto an elderly woman's property. Why? Littering is still littering. Please do better.
It is an abandoned property. It has been this way since it was bought in the 70's. The packaging strap was on the property already and so was the board. Look at like me simply relocating it to another part of the property.
Why throw weed scraps behind the fence is unacceptable
The size of the block is huge and to clean inside would take heavy machinery and days. It has never been used, it's been idle for maybe 50 years or more. The weeds and offcuts that I threw over won't make any difference at all. I had no problem doing this. Thanks for watching and thank you for the comment.
Not a good ones
Yes, its good now.
