"You are white so that means you are racist." and "You are a man so you are sexist towards women." You don't know how many times I have heard this in my 49 years of life being a white man. Any of my thoughts or ideas are always dismissed because I am white and I am male. This song resonates with me because I also "refuse to feel ashamed because of my pretty blue eyes". I believe in equality for all races and for men and women. We are all human, isn't that enough?

I'm a white woman and have been called a racist because of my color in certain parts of the city I went to for work. I was even told by a little old African American lady to be out of the neighborhood before dark or I would hurt bad.

@OldWeeb and anytime you try to voice the fact that you aren’t “racist” or “sexist” people just use the denial as a way to say you are those things or you wouldn’t defend yourself so strongly against the allegations. At least that’s what I am told.

This is the song that got things rolling for Tom. At the time of this song. He was living in South Central L.A. and he was friends with his neighbors. Some of them are in the video. If you didn't know. His girlfriend and him are the ones doing everything. He is completely independent. No manager or record label. They build their sets for the videos and shoot it themselves. Simple remarkable and so much respect.

Yes, you absolutely have to be independent to keep the message you want to empart and integrity of the art itself pure. One of my cousins was a country musician back in the 80s. He was approached by a record lable but they wanted him to change some of the words to something sexual. He refused, so didn't get hired. I've always felt proud of him for that. The music "industry" uses music to shape (manipulate) culture. Same thing with acting. Anything "popular" (because the powers that be decide what will be popular and have the means to make that happen) has that element to it.
But now, through the internet, we also have truly independent musicians who become popular because the people themselves are making that happen. I just hope that they don't eventually get censored like so many ideas are.

@@donnaknudson7296they've tried to censor Tom so many times, and yet his songs just keep topping the charts. Perks of him and Nova having their own label so they can't be put out for their words. More and more musicians are being driven independent because they don't want to conform to what a label tells them they have to do.

You nailed it with that last bit, Brit. The fact that many people saw that title and screen grab and decided to write him off goes on to prove the point that he was trying to make. Society says we need to focus on our differences, but that is bull. We need to get to know each other, so we can focus on how we are the SAME. That is how you bring people together and create what we all want: CHANGE (for the better)!

Britt, just found you here. I really loved hearing your perspective in realtime as you listened. I heard this for the first time a few days ago. Made me cry listening to it just now. He’s is speaking for many, even me, a 65 year old white woman. We let the politicians, the mega rich, and media inform us about each other and it’s got to stop. I was there in 1965. It was an emotional time, but made me proud to see it changed. I was there when a white woman pulled her child away because a black child too a drink. It enraged me. I went right over and took a drink and asked her, her name. I was 8 years old but I heard MLK speeches on tv, and Kennedy when he stood up against racism. And mourned both their losses. I am saddened to my core that we haven’t done better for each other lately. We don’t have to be like each other, or live each others cultures, all to be honored, to not appreciate our shared history as a nation that tried to change it. Still wants it better than the crap the media feeds us and tells us who we are. They don’t know me. And hopefully, they get to know you. You are beautiful and you have a voice and a platform. I don’t. But I’ll be landing on your page now too…sorry for the rant 😬

I love this song. It really says a lot for me. It is my humble opinion (which may or may not be a popular one), if you call racism on an entire group as a whole due to their skin color, YOU are truly the racist. I`m not ignorant to the fact that, yes, there are racist individuals in ALL groups, but to say that an entire group is racist is completely ignorant and frankly dangerous. Just my two cents.

As Tom said they (Rothschilds, Bush, Bidens, all in power) want every race to be viewed as a whole because removing the individual is their goal, individuals are bad, groups are good, but certain groups especially the ones where say individual liberty is often taught as a virtue (perhaps easier to teach to white people in the US if you look back at history to the founding of the US) then it helps achieve their goal, cut down the individual so those in power remain in power, people bicker with others just like us because we’re told we’re not supposed to like each other and those in power get away with so much and stay in power because instead of having an achievable goal of creating a better society we just look at removing or impacting certain groups so our group can do better

Sadly Tic Tokk brings out all the “Sheeple” attitudes of people who bought into the Systems Gladiator arena! If they’d look up they’d possibly see the strings they ‘let’ “The big agenda/great reset/one world order” (call them what you want, what they are system builders - system of bs non existent issues turned issues at their evil hand) put on them out of wanting to stand up for ‘something’ -.-
Stand up for the real issues- the powers ‘that be’ turning you/us the WORLD but primarily America for our freedom of speech 🎤 into their prized sheeple. Stop before you are the masses that shove us ALL into the pen of ultimate control. It’s sheeple that are marching headfirst headlong into the end of all freedom. Before you can post your next video of oppression you will find you’ve been duped into the Ultimate Planned Opression- you CANT post anymore you’ve been censored and your character credit score just dropped!!! Better fix that right quick and like Star Treks “The Borg” you’ve been assimilated ~ you will think, act, behave, and follow the great of one mind assimilation that you willingly walked into and drug the rest of us with you as we go kicking and screaming and blaming YOU the sheeples for letting them control you years back leading to our demise. Damn. We tried to warn you, Tom was one of the ones standing out on the ledge and instead of listening to him you let him jump … or not? Decide to stop buying into “The Great Reset” mentality. We might have a chance. Canada has lost their chance Norway too. China lost it a long time ago. They as a people out number their government and military considerably they could revolt as a whole but they’ve been mentally beat down into the ground like the arcade game “whack-a-mole”. They have been assimilated. Russia is on the brink, best buds with China now. We are about to go all digital currency and that my friends is ultimate control over us. They can shut us down instantly with a click of the mouse. Assets frozen.
“You will own Nothing and you will never have been happier, you will have no privacy and you will love it…” it’s their own words unabashedly out loud they speak (Claus Schwab and His Great Reset - look it up, coming to another country near you and before you know it it’s found it’s way to your own, wait, a front door you live behind, not yours because YOU don’t own IT, they do!!!) OUT LOUD! It’s not a conspiracy theory if it’s being proven by the goats own mouth. We the lambs are about to be sacrificed for the good of emergency environmental and climate issues - C40.org it’s bigger than a ‘thing’ it’s The New World Order and they think it will be world wide established by 2030!!!!
It will if we don’t stop them and we can’t stop them if we’re busy fighting each other instead of uniting and keeping BOTH eyes on THEM!
Who will win? In the end God!!! But we aren’t to,d to sit back complacently and let it go down while we wait for His return. We stand up for what’s right. Our country was founded on a covenant with God and the people on The Mayflower, Looking to escape the oppression of Europes leaders they prayed over their new found land and asked God to lead and guide them. Yes I know sin aka evil follows man kind where ever we flee and the precious Native American Indians fell to genocide because of it. But NOT everyone caused it or wanted it. Ultimate power ultimately corrupts in every new world, in every good intention, look back thru time and history starting with the Bible the greatest history book ever written and it’s Author is the creator of the world and the universe -GOD. His plan has been in tact since the beginning but we can make a move to disassemble evil as His children on HIS side not the side of the enemy’s enemies!
Please do your own homework, don’t take my or anyone else’s word for anything. Seek and ye shall find, don’t stop seeking truth until THE TRUTH is revealed to you. Ask for Him to show you His Light and He will, He Will!!!

No one was bothered by my hair that I know of. I never knew anything about racism in those days. There was no such thing as Cultural Appropriation. My Puerto Rican best friend is the one who braided my hair. I have no clue how things got to this point but I wish it was different. I was not trying to be another race I simply thought it would be cool to braid my hair. Graduated in the 2000's and I cannot think of one time any racism occurred from k-12. I got called a fatty and witnessed two girls going at eachother but thag was it in the negative department. My very first best friend in K was half white/half black named Marrisa and i cried when she moved. I think about her from time to time and wonder if she does me too. I'm white I had White friends, Black friends, Mexican friends and there were only a few Asians but never spoke as we didnt sit close. The 2 people from High School i can never forget was a girl named CeCe and a girl named Viviana. One African American, one Mexican. The most down to earth, loving, funny, make school worth it type of girls. I can still hear CeCe yelling down the halls, "yo softball!!!" Because I played varsity softball and she was my hype chick lol. Laughed so much with her. I didn't think twice about their color I loved them for who they where as people. I honestly believe it was the news pushing the narratives and this mess happened. We all got along as we should have. No reason not too as if your a good human being, your a freaking good human being. I'm not good because I'm white, I'm not bad because I'm white. I'm good because I'm not an a**hole to people. I have empathy. I help where I can.
The consistent narratives being pushed on television divided alot of people. I remember thinking at one time, "why is it always a black person being arrested, caught with something illegal, etc" on tv? Now its white this, white that. Really sad and makes you think whats really going on...

The judgement and , no pun intended, skin deep reactions they made about us. I have a little girl who'll be 5 soon and I don't even know her because the hate and judgement run so deep. I haven't heard all of Tom's music yet but what I have heard his message is pretty universal. He is trying to get everyone to realize that the govt is trying to keep these issues as hot issues so we continue to fight each other. Its easier for them to fight and take whatever they want from a bunch of small groups that are busy fighting amongst themselves than 1 unified group. Divided they conquer! Stand up stand together and take back the power. Keep up the good fight Tom.

As a 41 year old white man who was raised that we are all equal regardless. This song is more than accurate. Never have I or will I ever make any person feel less than me. Black, white, brown, yellow we all get up drag our asses to work. Come home kiss our wife and kids. What I saying is we all have the same morals, and family values. So how are we different? I'm white you black. Ok so fucking what. I'd still go to war and stand by your side and give my life to keep our families free. I would still call you brother with my last breath. Most all white people I know feel the same way. I've actually experienced more racism from black people toward whites than whites toward black. Truthfuly I don't really care. What bothers me is when black people go out of their way to try and make everything into "it's because I'm black......". No, it's because you made it into that. Maybe I'm wrong with this statement. if you are the one always making things about race, wouldn't that make you the racist? Just a thought. The sooner we raise our children to love all colors and not teach them to be afraid of and dislike all things white (Chris rock). The sooner people will quit trying to be oppressed and live in harmony together. Fuck black side of town, fuck white side of town. Just be a God damn town

I am a white man. I love Tom's music. He speaks the truth about everything that is going on in the world today. I lost friends of color these past couple of years because I posted a Rebel Flag on my social media page, with the caption "Heritage, NOT Hate" and some of my closest friends of color lost their minds, labeled me as a racist, and unfriendly me. I told them to relearn their history. I have known these friends my whole life and they had the audacity to call me racist. My best friend is from Detroit and a man of color. He was one of the friends who unfriended me. He came back into my life because he missed me. He and I talk daily, just like we did before. The powers that be are promoting division. There is a way to regain control and it almost happened on January 6, 2020. I am not going to get into a political discussion on here. Tom's music is mostly about politics. The problem is this....society wants to blame everything on Democrats or Republicans...the truth is political parties DO NOT MATTER anymore. I will leave it at that.

Personally, I enjoy seeing a black person react to Tom. What Tom spits in this song and others is exactly how I feel. We’re being made to feel like white people are out here hating others and that’s the farthest thing from the truth. We all have our own experiences. Mine is THAT I have a black stepdad and he is the BEST person I know. And as a white person, I’ve experience what they call “reverse racism” more than I’ve ever seen “regular racism” but that’s ok because I understand where it’s coming from and my reaction is just to be more friendly, more kind, more loving……It’s the only way we win the humanity game.

You got me! I almost went past. I'm tired of everytime I open my mouth on Social Media I get called a racist, funny usually by a guilty white person too.😮 Because I'm conservative. Yet I'm glad I was hanging clothes with my headphones on and phone in another room. I'm glad I listened to the song and your reaction. I'm 60 years old I remember the 60s. I grew up around alot of kids of all skin color. My Dad was a coach and had lots of African American boys on his team. I heard one call another kid the N word. My Dad lost it. He told him not on my field. What you do at home is your business, on my field we are a team. When you get hurt on my field you bleed red. Don't you son? He said, Yes Sir coach. He said that was the only color that mattered. That was an ignorant word. My Dad was awesome and a great coach. This was football by the way. I didn't even know what racism was until my Dad explained it to me. I was devestated! You can't help the color of your skin. That was stupid and sad to me. Still is. I have two mixed grandkids that are black and 2 Japanese. Im so proud of all 10 of my grandkids. So racist? No! Never! It was refreshing to hear your words. Sometimes all we hear is the ignorance of some people. I loved your reaction. The song was pretty good too. Ok rant over, lol! Goodnight!

So I am a "white" woman and one day I was eating with a friend at potluck after our church service at the church I attend. I started telling my friend about the fact that I had not understood the social rules in a New Orleans black neighborhood when I went to visit some relatives who live in the city there. I am from the Seattle area and I didn't realize that the culture and history is so very different in New Orleans than what I am used to. While in a black neighborhood in New Orleans I stopped at a local McDonalds to get some French Fries for my kids (ages 3 and 4) who were "starving!"
We walked into the McDonalds and waited in line to get our order. Seattle is very multicultural and everyone talks to everyone else. In many areas of Seattle, Caucasians are the minority and nobody thinks anything about what ethnicity you are. But in McDonalds in New Orleans as my kids were running in circles around me trying their best to wait for French Fries, all of the people turned their backs toward me and my kids to show (evidently) their dislike of "white" people. It was very obvious and then I suddenly noticed there were no white people in the restaurant. I hadn't noticed or cared until that moment. So eventually we left with our French Fries and my kids stopped reminding me how hungry they were. I was telling my friend at church about this experience and told her "I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to talk to black people down in New Orleans when I went on vacation there.
I wasn't angry about the experience. I just had finally understood that I was stepping into a long history of racial tension that I hadn't been aware of. My friend at church then said "Maybe it's because you have never had anything like that (racism) happen to you!" She went on to explain that I as a white person had not had the racial injustice that these people had experienced in their lifetimes. My friend Meili is Chinese-American and as a young child in school had been teased because she was the only Asian-American in her entire school in the Midwest growing up. I understood what she said, but then I said to her "Every time there is some Nazi group that paints a swastika on the side of a building in Seattle, or attacks a Jewish family or shop owner (yes it happens in Seattle too) I feel afraid and wonder sometimes if I should even use my Jewish last name when going to areas that are known to have white supremacists.
The look on her face surprised me. My friend Meili looked shocked and just stared and stared at me for the longest time, as if seeing me for the first time. I guess she hadn't known I was Jewish. I have green eyes after all. But later I wondered, "What about me changed during my conversation with her?" Did my dark blond hair change, my skin color or eye color. I went from being a "perpetrator" and "racist" to a "victim" of racism. Nothing about me had changed physically. What a weird experience. This is why I agree with Tom McDonald's song. A lot of times light-skinned people are seen as "racist" but until you know that person you don't really know if it is true! You don't know where they come from, their ethnicity, family history. I am so relieved that most people of "color" give me the benefit of the doubt and don't think I am a racist or perpetrator of hate. And yea, I do represent a lot of the average "white" people you see in your town. Most don't like what our government has become, or support the people in power positions that seem to stir up racial strife.

Geez, it's his delivery. I graduated an all black school in Alabama, and I got maybe two comments the entire time. From the other students, anyway. "What are you DOING?" "DOING? I'm getting an education. TRY it." I'm from a mixed community as well, and people get angry about things, work it out, share food and child care and sometimes get fall in love. More exposure to each other blows more pre-existing beliefs. The people in actual power? Thats something else entirely.
