I'm letting my Roos talk the ladies into more chicks. ☺️ My 1st batch of chicks (10) are six months old and just started laying on 1/3/22. (7 girls and 3 boys) My ordered girls (18) are now fourteen months old. I do have some old ladies I took in. In total 43 birds now. 5 of them are Roos. 😳
When do you put the pullets in with your hens? I always want to put my pullets with hens but they need the grower 🤷🏼♀️ can you feed the hens grower too?
Hi McKenzie, I usually wait until the chicks are at least a month old before putting them in with the hens. But you may have to wait longer if the older hens pick on the chicks. It’s no problem for the hens to eat the chick starter though 😊
