Sometimes the best artists don't always get the re cognition they deserve and John Miles seems to fall into that catagory and it's not like he only did Music ( classsic as that wonderful song is ) as this album so rightly proves , with hardly one bad song on it .I had the album on play all the time and the percussion /bongo solo on this song I just adore .
This is, according to me, the best song from the album, next to 'Music', of course. I am 58 now, and I remember how I heard John Miles in the seventies and immediately appreciated his music. As soon as I found the CD (around 1986, I guess), I bought it and played it as often as I could. Strange that I never seemed to have considered buying the vinyl record before that time.
I first heard this album in 1976...when it was released I was riding a Garelli Tiger Cross and mixing it with my best mates who were also riding mopeds. I remember sitting in the sun light with warmth on my brow listening to this album from the nearby juke box of Almondsbury social club, Bristol thinking life was good. And it was good and still is. This is a top album that stands the test of time. One of my all time favourites that transports me back to those fantastic times.
I dont know what kind of music, or style, or genre, is this music. I dont know if John Miles had a bad image, or a good one (sometimes, he had a bad one, my opinion), or if they promote it well, or not. I dont know, if he reached the top2, or 10, or the top40. I know one thing. This is an incredible music. Beeing in the same album as "Music", along with other great songs, makes "Rebel" one of the best albuns, all time.
In my opinion one of the most underrated albums of all time

So many good songs. Thank you John!
Rest in Peace John. Another star shining bright up there in Heaven.
Ainsi soit-il.

Yeah, the break with the bongos at 4:35 of this song has got to be my favorite break of any song ever.
Totally Agree
This album and tales of mistery and imagination by Alan Parsons are jewels of my collection.

This is a great song, and a sadly very underrated one. This is a hidden jewel.
