A girl I dated last summer (she picked another guy) recently kept touching me every occasion she had at work so I went up to her and asked her what she was trying to do.

Same situation with me. My coworker and I have feelings for each other for the beginning of last year, the second half of last year I’m not sure what that is. And here is why.
Around Valentine’s Day this year, one night, me and her with another coworker finish our work for the day. We walked together to a supermarket, on our way to the supermarket, while we were chatting, she constantly touching my arm a few times. She’s not a touchy person. I never saw her touch any male coworker but me. So I see that as a sign of she wanting me to make a move, So after a few days, I asked her out, she didn’t reject me on the spot, but later she thought about it, then she rejected me.
After the rejection, I just stop thinking about her or you can say I “walk away”. The reason why I walk away that easily. Because I can feel that after the first half year of last year, the second half until now, she wasn’t showing that much interest in me like she did the first half of last year. During that first half, she is teasing me, share her food with me while she’s eating. But the second half of that year she only share her food once with me and she never asked about my personal life after I asked about hers, so I’m not really surprised that she rejected me.
That’s not all, what surprise me is that she touched my arm again a few days after that rejection.
Recently, I found out that she had a boyfriend. I’m sure it’s after that first half of last year.
I’m confused, if a girl is pretending to like you. One of the most important sign is the physical touch, if she’s pretending to like you, there will be no physical touch.
