Suh dudes! The Coaster Idiots drove 6 hours from New Jersey to visit both Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg in a single day! Both parks are only partially open as part of their winter events, but we needed to ride stuff! WE NEEDED IT!!

I'm a Dominator/Berserker Ride Operator- my supervisor had me on queue at Dominator for the morning and my coworker on Fast Lane. I proceeded to compliment the Zippin Pippin shirt without even RECOGNIZING who was wearing it
Ryan eventually walked up and started taking videos of the ride, and I was looking at him like "....do I know this guy?"
When he circled around to the Fast Lane queue to get more shots (I absolutely got in one of them and ruined it, I'm sure), I looked at my coworker like ???
A few minutes later he walked over to me and I asked him, "was that ElToroRyan?"
He confirmed "oh yeah, that was him," and I proceeded to beat myself up the rest of the day for not saying hi 😭😭

I’m with you! We saw the Zippin Pippin shirt as he got on the Dominator train before us. And we were like … that’s him right? We didn’t see El Toro Ryan so we thought it was cool but now we know we missed El Toro Ryan, too!!

There's a person's laugh during the off ride footage of Dominator's first loop that got me! I remember riding this at Geauga Lake and it brought back the feels! Love that coaster!

Went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg in February. I’m from Ohio so I appreciated being able to ride coasters instead of driving by ki for the sixth time in a week.
It was a fun time. Even though it was 43 degrees so it was just warm enough to ride. I need to get back there in the summer when everything is open and the rides are running warm since alpengeist was running so slow that it was borderline force less. Definitely need to get back there

Was there on Sunday, weather was crappy, but warmed up enough to get a ton of rides on Twisted Timbers. But, the highlight of the day was the service and food we got at Outpost Cafe. The prime rib.... yes prime rib, was probably the best amusement park meal I've ever had. That area of the park exceeded anything I would ever expect at a Cedar Fair park. BTW, lost track of how many re-rides we were allowed on Twisted Timbers.
When the best rides are closed, it’s always good to have major factors as saving graces! Like Alpengeist for instance
Dominator is so underrated! The longest floorless b&m looper with essentially the tallest loop in the world! Bigger than hulk’s!
I get it, people don’t consider the looper as fun as a floater hyper…but for what it is, dominator is one of the best of its kind

I'm on old guy who can't ride roller coasters any more, but if I could I would so like to hang with you. I don't have nearly as many credits as you, but I have one that you'll never have: the Palisades Park Cyclone! The view from the top of that lift hill was the most amazing I've ever seen on any coaster!

I just visited King's Dominion for the first time this past weekend, and I've been saving this vid to watch afterward. Just wanted to thank you for your videos because your content really pushed me into leaving my comfort zone (I had some bad experiences with coasters as a kid that kept me from wanting to ride them for years) and try out some proper coasters for the first time in decades. Twisted Timbers was the highlight of my day and then some-one of the best experiences ever. I'm totally hooked on coasters now. Thanks for stoking that flame!!!

Agreed wholeheartedly. Last time I went down there from Cleveland, I took 81 to 64 specifically to avoid DC traffic. It may have added an hour to my drive, but at least I was moving!

Cookout is always a mood! If Kings Dominion plans to stay yea-round long term, then they should pull a Six Flags and buy an extra train for Twister Timbers so it can have continuous 2 train ops

Traffic through Fredericksburg almost always sucks. It's why VDOT has separated local and through traffic - IN FREDERICKSBURG of all places.
Plenty of DCers moved all the way down to Stafford, Fredericksburg, and Spotsylvania because they are more affordable, but the infrastructure is way behind. It doesn't help that the HOV/Toll lanes end in Aquia.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. At 4:40, was that a fanny pack in the mid-line lockers? When we went in February, they told us that fanny packs had to go in the upcharge lockers even though we knew it could fit in the free ones.
I was on a VIP tour at BGW, and they said they went for a light color on Alpengeist because a neighborhood was fed up with looking at roller coasters. So they made the colors the same as the sky

I was just at BGW in February and my buddy and I got to ride Alpengeist twice, Verbolten twice, and Apollo's Chariot three times, only had a little downtime on Alpengeist and Verbolten, no more than an hour tho
I do that 95 dc corridor weekly. It’s rough! Love living in Richmond though - traffic down here is nothing
I live in PA and just did this same trip lol. Except I was too tired to drive 5 hours home the same night so I got a hotel room on the way home
If it's prime ride time it's about 10 minutes, but if you can do it, why not? You don't have to stay in a hotel! Great video, thanks for posting!

People keep complaining about the paint scheme on Alpengeist, but when I look at it now I can't remember it looking any different, like did they even change anything? My memory might just suck but usually paint changes are super jarring.
The nightmare section of I-95 is between Lorton and Occoquan south bound section, the WORST for the longest time. I live in the Prince William County so I can tell you its been like that for at least the last 20 years.

You guys were saying there is usually no line at Alpengheist. I did Alpengheist opening year (1996?) on July 4th. waited 2 hrs 40 minutes for a mid train seat but it was worth it! I have been several times since then tho and the front seat is the best seat and have walked on to it many times now.
I can tell ElToroRyan is a cultured man like me as he is a fan of Cookout, like me.

Seaworld is killing me with these one train ops. They have amazing parks and rides, but must be trying to upsell people on Quick Queue. Montu was running one train when I was there last month, and the line was so long they were giving out return time passes.
