Great energy, and still has not lost its appeal decades later. Wes is one of the true greats, and makes it look and sound effortless on other videos of him playing.
I agree he's my favorite jazz musician right up there with Sonny Rollins John Coltrane and Louis Armstrong and West Montgomery is my favorite of all of them all
the tempo is around 200 bpm for the heads and the bass solo. the rest fluctuates around 205 to 210 bpm during the solos. just something I recently noticed that I hadn't noticed before after listening to this for the last 30 years.
Is it just me or is Montgomery the smoothest ever? 😅

Brilliant Upbeat Tune
The true king.
The greatest straight ahead jazz guitarist of all time. To do what he does without a pick, is incredible.

I'm learning this song, and it's way easier to play without a pick. I agree though, he's my favorite guitarist, and I mostly listen to metal and punk

Unmetronomed music is fluid, always for the better, as an application of the relativity of time!
This tune is beautiful ♥️🔥

Unforgettable Wes Montgomery! You can hear his influence everywhere, even to this day.
