I know you are using diplin so you already have a grass type, but I'd recommend using ogerpon. It will trigger custom dialog with carmine and kieran

That's what I picked because I didn't want to battle like that.
I noticed the younger players say the food sounds tasty. And the older players suddenly go into parent mode telling Drayton to chew his food. That was adorable to notice

I cant unsee the shiny magnemite at 13:47 😂 right after he enters Chargestone Cavern. "Magnemite, that's pretty standard." RIP shiny magnemite. 😂 Also if you battle all the trainers then talk to the counselor ladies in each area you'll get around 3,000 bp total as a reward.

Drayton almost makes the Indigo Disk worth the money all by himself he's that amazing he slacks off but is a genuinely nice guy he reminds me of Shikamaru from Naruto who slacks off when something isn't worth the hassle from the trailers people thought Drayton was gonna be an enormous douche how wrong they were 😆
I love the Terrarium in this dlc. I like that its so open world but closed in if that makes sense

Fun Fact: The reason why Drayton's trial is in the artic biome is because it's a reference to how in Black and White 2, Opelucid city (the city with the Dragon type gym) was completely frozen by Team Plasma
For Overqwil, you just need to teach Qwilfish Barb Barrage and level it up here
I thought they'd simply ditch the battle styles to make the Hisuian Pokemon evolve

Nope, it's only more like evolving Girafarig into Farigiraf where you just teach their signature moves instead of using the move a number of times in battle

For this challenge you can't use pokemon you got in terra raids either, but once you beat the three trainers you can use whatever pokemon you want against Drayton.
They can all be swept with a Golurk and Eelektross, that's what I did lol
Catch the open wild tera mons, they tend to have better stats
This gen definitely has the best writing. All that about BBL champion and BBQs are just the cherry on top

@@SimipourfangirlProbably not, but he definitely looks crazy enough to try, and I'll be honest, I don't doubt that he would probably try and deal lasting, permanent damage to tinkaton before he goes down.

Zebstrika now has a 100 power Physical electric move (it has a couple downsides tho) called Supercell Slam, High Horsepower, and Trailblaze
Those downsides, for people who don't know, are 95% Accuracy and crash damage should the move miss.
Still, this move is better than Wild Charge due to not only having higher power, but also it has only "5% chance" to cause "recoil" instead of 100% chance; that "recoil" is much bigger, yes, but the chances are pretty low, so you can risk it
The recoil/crash damage is half your max hp
Very fun new move, immediately taught it to my iron thorns

@@bfeldz1023 No. It has 95% chance to hit, and should it miss (or the target uses Protect-like move), user takes crash damage equal to half of its' max HP.
I’m gonna lose my mind from laughter. My sister’s not one to make things harder on herself so she’s been going through the dlc with her level 100’s so drayton’s trial is gonna be hell for her

She did not like it. I got the text and couldn’t help myself. She was in the opposite room from me and she hear me laughing. The one wholesome part is she was that she couldn’t use the alolan ninetales I traded her (she has violet)

Hey Mikey, as a heads up in case you haven’t tried it yet, pokemon caught in the Tera raids are also excluded from the trial (I.E. your Rhyperior and Metang). I tried this trial with an Electivire and Kingdra that I caught in raids and wasn’t able to proceed until I swapped them out.
Yea I wanted to use porygon Z I got in a Tera raid and it just didn’t let me proceed with the battle until I removed it from my party
I learned that the hard way when I tried putting a Kingdra that I got from one on my team, lol! I was confused at first.
Did the same wanted to use my Tera Raid Duralodon but couldn't. Thankfully my Escadrill/Toucannon combo worked perfect for two out of three.
Eggs hatched in the terrarium also don't count! Learned the hard way 😔
How many pokemon are you allowed to use a whole team?
If Archaludon's ridiculous BST wasn't enticing enough, it also gets access to Stamina. So you can get funny with Body Press shenanigans even with Assault Vest

At this point and time, Drayton is my favorite part of the DLC

Just so you know, there's a wild terasstalized Hitmontop in the canyon biome, so you don't have to actually evolve Tyrogue
Just did drayton’s challenge and you don’t have to use the Pokémon you used for his challenge as he gives you the option to go change your team back so don’t worry Mikey

Cheat cheat for the first Kieran fight: have a storm drain pokemon on the field from the start. Let his frog live and let him spam his weather ball. You'll be plus 6 special attack in no time.
I had a weakness policy suicune and a meowscarada out against Kieran’s hydrapple, and the meowscarada survived on friendship… THREE DIFFERENT TIMES!!! I ended up saying “what the heck” and launched a helping hand flower trick into that spot, winning me the match.
important note about the Dragon trial challenge. pokemon caught in the raid battle don't count...
(not sure if its a bug, but I had a raid lapras and I couldn't fight with it on the team)
The same is also true in the catch bbq
I felt so bad just waiting for your realization when I saw you prepping your team for Drayton, thinking, "Oh no... he's gonna have to go catch new mons after he's spent time putting a team together from his box." Oh well, you'll be able to use them against the other 3 Elite 4 battles.
You only have to use a different team against the 3 trainers. If you change your team inbetween you CAN battle him with the old team

Electro shot is crazy cuz i doesn't have to charge in rain so basically u get +1 spatk every turn
As far as Kieran goes, I'd like to think he was top dog around his school kinda like Mr. Satan after becoming World Champ in DBZ. However, he freaked out when the Z-Fighters appeared at the World Tournament years after the Cell Games and he's freaked out that he could easily get defeated losing his crown.
So, Kieran's shocked reaction to our player arriving at his school is what made me think; "I'm about to end this man's whole career..."
Dude really said it doesn't matter who he battles; I don't lose. Like we didn't beat him time and time again in the previous DLC...no mercy bro!
Electro Shot is an AMAZING move. Partner it with a Rain Dance mon and get to steamrolling!
Archaludon is very slow (+ bad sp.def) so putting it in a rain team is better for electro shot... Otherwise you are probably going to die before getting a chance to attack 😢😢

I used Archaludon on my playthrough. She helped out a lot! I caught her as a Fighting Terastal Duraludon. I taught her Body Press. Gave her the Assault Vest too.
I managed to hunt two shinies. They were both females, and I was looking for a male, but I didn't want to waste any more time. So now I have a shiny level 100 Archaludon and she is amazing. I'm going to trade the other one on GTS.
I think the very first game where Joltik bounced was PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond.
Drayton best friend would be a Slaking if it was a dragon type.

If you’re really wanting to find a shiny in one of these story playthroughs, just take your time wandering. I literally found three of them without even trying.
It may just be the lighting and the fact that I'm watching on a smaller screen, but I'm pretty sure the Magnemite Mikey passed at 13:48 to encounter the Excadrill was shiny. I could be wrong though...
I got a shiny pikipek before even attending that first class. What’s funny is that i was battling a toucannon for a long time as it was really hard to catch, and the whole time i saw a pikipek standing around looking at the battle and i thought: Yeah, i’ll catch you after this. And after like 5 minutes of throwing ultraballs i caught the toucannon and the pikipek was shiny. Really caught me off guard.

Hisuian Qwilfish's method did change. You may now evolve it simply by having Barb Barrage. (They did not change Stantler's though, even though it's base game) Really dumb....
I've watched a guy who's first encounter was a shiny lechonk. He then proceeded to find a shiny misdreavus later.
First Pokémon used chuggey in the main game, now they use fire as a verb, what’s next Carmine saying “gyatt to the player? I kinda hope so, that would be funny

Man, Drayton was a fun character with a sick battle. I like dragon types a lot and did a Dragon v Dragon battle, and I won with 4 down. Beat Lacey with my dragons too with only my shiny Kommo-o named Kami left. Also NO, You can use any team members you want against Drayton.

Oh also I specifically taught my Gastrodon surf over muddy water to use as a doubles partner with dry skin Toxicroak (with fairy Tera). I've cheesed many things with dry skin Toxicroak over the last few years and they were the dream team for indigo disk too

If you get perm flight and fly to the big orb in the sky it has op loot, it has ability patch,50 steller Tera shards,and a gold bottle cap

Found 2 shiny Minior this morning. Managed to catch both in quick balls, but made sure to have a Damp pokemon out. Highly suggest you have one two if you plan on shiny hunting

It always happens to me I wanted to use Archaludon and The Dipplin Evolution but then I found this blue Trapinch....and I don't want to Use 3 Dragons in my team so the Shinys it is.

Fun fact, Miniors have different colors, that's well known
But each colors has predetermined 'boosted odds'. For example, the Chargestone Cavern only has Yellow Cores (from what I've seen) while the one in the Canyon is mostly Orange, but tends to be Blue, Indigo and Purple Core as well. No idea where's Pink Core tho ... I got it on an Outbreak so ...

Green ... might be on the Coast side. I actually forgot after getting them because I was just wandering everywhere. But it'd make sense, as it's the only lush zone (and there's Miniors on the plateau in the middle of the coast side)@@miikaroos3809
