Some recommendations: Classic Spyro Spyro Heartbreaker Buckshot Series 4 Trigger Happy, Series 4 Chop Chop, Series 4 Terrafin, they were planned for Trap Team but were scrapped, that is why Trap Team is missing a bunch of Skylanders in these elements!
I made a fully upgraded jet vac years ago if that’s what you’re referencing. For the green visor I believe I used a sprite bottle and the rest was most likely clay.
Hi man love ur customs, looking at doing my own customs but how do u paint the figure so that it doesn’t show the streaks of the paint I made one a few days ago and u can easily tell it’s been painted
Thin your paints. There’s lots of tutorials online about how to thin them but it’s really as simple as adding some water to the paint before painting. It’s going to take some extra coats but if you’re patient, the end result will look a lot better.
@@theskylanderdude ok thanks man, is there any way I can dm u I made a VVind up a few days ago it’s my first custom and I’d like some tips to make it look better is possible and show u it
I’ve just started customizing Skylanders. So far, I’m only painting them…haven’t gotten brave enough to disassemble or cut them up to swap parts. Any suggestions how to determine which ones can be disassemble vs requiring going under the knife?
Heat would be your best friend. Either a heat gun or boiling water can soften up pretty much any figure to the point where limbs can just be pulled apart. Some plastic is thicker than others and will require a knife to cut it apart. Just be careful!
Oh, also, I'm really late but... ...you've *GOTTA* do Heartbreaker Buckshot now. I know that's probably been suggested already but like, you _have_ to.
Overall, I like the look of the paint not on a primed surface. Plus that sometimes makes parts of the figure too think. Also was thinning the paint in the cap, probably tough to tell from the time lapse lol
@@JomasterTheSecond everything was thinned unless I forgot haha. Could’ve also been a cut there as sometimes the time lapse recording needed to focus back on the figure.
I think this custom looks amazing! You got all of the colors almost spot on, and I could barely tell the difference between the original.
Amazing just amazing
you are an artist!!
Amazing video as always! It turned out great. Now that you have so much silver paint, you can make fake silver customs, and make loads of money.
I can’t wait to see what else you make!
Nice to see u again

I remember you did a video with a custom fully upgraded Jetvac and I was wondering what you used for the visor and gun upgrades

@@theskylanderdude yes I meant to say jet vac and also what kind of glue did you use for the visor
@@diddytacos1359 just loctite super glue 👍

@@theskylanderdude thanks…I don’t have a heat gun so I’ll try the boiling water. Knife would be last resort…trying to avoid that if I can.
It looks good, and I’m kinda jealous because I wanted to do it to but I cant find another starcast
You should try your hand with Warhammer
Can you make the Unreleased Hugo skylander?
My question is where did you get the Starcast and did it kill your bank account?
Definitely not. It’s only a $30 figure and I got it in a lot 👍

First I think maybe
Agghhh, the fact you're not priming the figure before you paint or thinning your paints kinda hurts me. XP

@@theskylanderdude Ooh, makes sense. I just assumed because I only saw the paint being poured during the metallic copper part of the time lapse. :P
