I noticed as per other battle previews that for some skills or heat everyone has a unique voice line to their opponent. You can see the personality and care for design.
Yep, its a System where Characters has unique battle dialogue when fighting other specific Tsukihime characters.
Would be cooler if the stage also change char's voice lines and stance like this stage and school stage.
They did that in exchange for having a smaller roster. It says something to that effect on Wikipedia. Fewer characters, but more unique interactions.

The fact that she says “purgatory” means she believes her opponent’s soul can be purified and eventually go to Heaven. That’s a rather kind thing for a vampire hunter to say and I’m totally on board with it.
Well, her soul wont go to Heaven for sure.

She's not specifically a vampire hunter. She's a member of The Church's executioners so they are essentially nun Assassins. They clash with the Mages Association a lot.

And to top it all off we have these gorgeous sprites and stages.
$50 for this game is a steal. Will happily buy a copy or 2.
the deluxe edition is $70 I think but it’ll have bonus content like a 3-disc digital soundtrack of older Melty music!
Will definitely pick up at least 1 of the deluxe edition.
I'll support this release as best I can if it means I can show Type Moon + French Bread that their passion does not go unnoticed. Fingers crossed that a good reception for Melty on release makes TM think again about a Tsukihime localization. Would love to play that too.

Loved playing as Ciel & Powered Ciel in MBAA. She looks really good in this.

This is going to be the first Melty Blood game I get into, and I'm looking to main Ciel. She looks cool, her moves are cool, she's cute, and I like Christian nuns.
You really should play melty acc on steam. You can easily attach a game controller if needed. It's an amazing game and each character has multiple fighting styles. It's also cheap.
Ciel is cool. I wish she still had the tattoos she had in the original though.
I can't stop imagine type moon workers playing this melty blood 10h daily to learn combos that are enjoyable to watch with every character just for this trailers, and the order of trailers is just the same order as type moon workers learned to use the character of the trailer
As a fan of both Ciel from Tsukihime and her alter-ego Chie from Higurashi, this is like crack for me. Going to likely main Ciel when I get my hands on this game.

I think the Moon Drive is like a V-Trigger. Ciel went into Moon Drive, back to neutral, IAD, and confirmed the rest of the combo. This game is going to be mad insane and the combos I can already tell are going to be even crazier.
moon drive was already explained in the twitter account and with a clips. Most mechanics are already known.
Moon drive is an install but so far it looks like the changes are universal and the main thing is that it gives you extra air movement options and buffs the moon skills(the other new type of specials)

Simplified controls are awesome. Playing Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Dengeki Bunko on emulator and love em both for that reason.

I love those swords. I saw them in Fate first but I love them in the context of a fighting game
I hope they make some of the skyboxes for the stages all sorts of crazy colors. Basic city scenes are fine with crazy colors like the "Red Moon Scherzo" stage in MBAA.

I feel really excited about this game. I love UNIEL, and I have not been able to play any Melty Blood game in the past. I pass on Guilty Gear strive, because I was not happy about the simplification changes. I am going to enjoy that, can't wait until end of September ! !

There is a chance, yeah (will depend on Nasu ultimatly as he is writing the story for Tsukihime).

God I hope so. You can tell the Waltz collab was decided last minute since it didn't get an animated trailer until weeks later when the event was gonna start. Bet there was an internal debate whether or not they should do the Tsukihime collab this year but then decided not to as to not spoil things for any newcomers.
At least that's what I like to think. The promotion would've been great though.
Nasu is fine with anything TYPE-MOON, but franchises outside of TM or license out characters for other games like Smash is a big no-no for Nasu.
So RIP Nobunaga's suggestion for Granblue collab with FGO. He got called out by his female collegue at Anime Japan 2021 for bringing that up. As if she heard Nasu from the back saying it's not gonna happen. "Outo!"
