Outstanding job!! This is the first time I’ve heard (or read) any of the details surrounding Frankie’s post-Teenagers years and career path!! Didn’t know any of the other group members struggled with drug problems, either!! I do recall seeing a sub-headline in one of the local papers (Phila. Tribune) after his death reading “Singer despondent over Vietnam assignment.” After seeing your podcast, I’d have to question whoever the editor was: If Frankie received a dishonorable discharge, how could he have been down about being sent to ‘Nam if he was no longer in the Army?
    Again, great work!!! Kudos!!!

Been following Frankie’s career since I was 9 years old. Thank you for posting this. My favorite song in his later years is SeaBreeze

Wow this is probably the most detailed videos I’ve watched about the later years of Frankie’s life. Several other videos mentioned an attempt to reunite with The Teenagers but don’t get into detail. You even have pictures of Frankie’s wives that I haven’t seen.

Frankie is one of my favorites. It's very sad he was around the same age as me doing mostly grown up stuff he should've never been doing. His story is very sad. Another great video sir🫡

@@temptin_temptations It seems like Frankie was misguided from the beginning sadly and thank you 🙏🏽

One the most thorough narratives on Lymon’s later years.

Thanks a lot for this in-depth reportage. I recently got fascinated of his story.
You didn't mention the incident when he in young age innocently danced with a white girl on a tv show ( or something in that direction, I don't eant to say the story wrong). It caused a scandal an d that show was banned from TV. It got the showmaster Allan Freed into trouble.

@@yasinfrei Thanks for watching! The incident you're referring to happened in 1957 on Alan Freed's Big Beat show. I didn't mention it because I wanted to focus mainly on his life and career in the 60s.
