@@EmptyMan000 if I was never addicted, I wouldn't have the particular desire to stay clean I have now. Some of the things I've done, sure but addiction itself was always the point. I don't regret it.

@@culu37what I hated is how they went to make it all religious as it slowly gravatated towards the implication none of it were true, which, is fine, but if you're going to make a comedic mockery of christianity atleast have it canon within the movie.
@@localgrassfieldboneshandler it wasn't mocking Christianity...it was lampooning Judaism (Genesis) as ridiculous and the patriarchs as mere comic fools. Now you may understand why it was critically panned and the studios avoided the director for a time.
This movie was so good on DVD. The unrated cut is a thousand times better than the theatrical

It’s quite surprising that Paul Rudd played Abel, but his name wasn’t put in the end credits.
I would say it isn't surprising that Rudd was in it, he loved making cameo's. It is however surprising if his name wasnt in the credits.
Its spelled Abel. Not Able.
theres contractual differences between credited and uncredited actors, with various circumstances to their use. basically, its not a diss if someone who had a cameo isnt credited, it may have been deliberate, say even by rudd or his agent specifically
@@betgazalYeah, I’m thinking Rudd himself saw it, saw it was a piece of shit, which it is let’s be honest, and decided he wanted his name to be nowhere near it. So he got it wiped out of his filmography. It’s only a cameo and it stays forgotten.

One of my favorite movies. Great writing
THis makes me want to see the whole movie again, i remember how i felt, not all the jokes land in the movie, but i appreciate the effort and creativity, and mixture of "low brow and high btow" humor! I'd also like to think that Abott and Costello would enjoy this movie :) plus i love how many people are in it, like This is the End

I know this movie bombed and was panned, but I enjoy it. There are some pretty funny moments.
I remember when this movie came out, I had no idea it bombed, I always thought it was really funny i like it
Ramis was trying to do a Mel Brooks style Jewish lampoon...but he likely went too far for the Hollywood management set.
Brooks got away with it because his were little skits...playfully joking about Moses or Adam...and he focused primarily on mocking Hitler or Germany...which got him a pass.
This film was quite good farce, but it was unrelenting. The Abraham and Isaac sequence was likely too far even for a secular but cultural son of Abraham.
I filled in for Paul Rudd in a scene where supposedly he gets revenge on David’s character. They filmed me from the back with a wig on raising a stone to drop on his head. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. Funny thing is a few years later I booked my first lead in a Christian independent film and we used the exact same set.😂

I pretty much prefer Eden's voiceover work in anime and video games over her soap opera roles.
