In fact, roaming can be activated with cards other than those in China. In China, you can access Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, telegram, UA-cam and other networks.
I only discovered the news about the 15 day visa yesterday and now I see your video! I haven't been to China since 2018 but I'm planning a trip to VN in November so I will definitely do this when I'm in the North!
Yes, it is amazing!! It makes travelling to China so much easier. We also did not plan to go to China when planning this trip and then they released the note 😅
i switched to a long layover in shanghai on my way to singapore from canada once just to split the flight time a bit / save money (is what i say ) but actually it's just because i wanted to eat some jianbing at my fav hole in the wall in the suburbs of shanghai that i patronized on my first trip there 9 years prior.

No, it was due to the heavy pollution in the burning season. It was a lot worse in Vietnam than in China. We think that the old vehicles also affect a lot.
