Myles kennedy is the lead singer, Mark Tremonti is the lead guitarist.
Blackbird is a heartbreaker. Not to mention, the guitar solo was recognized as one of the best of all time. You can feel the emotion that's being portrayed in the song. As Myles Kennedy was writing the song, his close friend Mark Morse died. So not only was it written about him, it was dedicated to him.
I was at a dear friends birthday party last March, her family is very talented and as they were about 20 seconds away from "I hope you fly away, never to be broken again" I got a text saying my best friend just passed away. This song and those people were chosen for that specific moment in my life.
The thing is, as good as Tremonti is, the singer Miles is almost as good. Yes there are 2 solos, both Miles and Mark play lead on multiple songs. If you watch the video for their song “isolation” you see both of them play solos

Great reaction. Alter bridge are imo one of the most underrated bands out there. Myles Kennedy is one of the greatest living rock vocalists, he has a four octave range and he has spent a long time training and practising techniques to support his voice which allows hims to sustain those notes and to sing so high in full voice, he has also studied bel canto operatic style to help with his breath support. Was going to say the same thing. The Amsterdam cut is pure brilliance
Gotta listen the Words Darker than their wings..live at Royal Albert Hall. Amazing
Yeah there are 2 guitarists, Myles Kennedy (also the singer) and Mark Tremonti. Myles did the first solo. Another great solo from them is on The Last Hero
Yes there are two guitars, Myles Kennedy which is also the singer plays the first solo and mark tremonti aka tremonster plays the second. Usually there are lead and rhythm guitars in bands but alter bridge is different, sometimes they almost Blend together. Amazing musicianship. I don’t know why they are not popular in their home country in Europe they are quite big also in South America. Most underrated band
I'm so proud you caught it was 2 different guitarists soloing. The first one was the singer, Myles Kennedy, and the second was the band's lead guitarist, Mark motherefing Tremonti. You are now officially my favorite reaction channel for being able to appreciate this band this much for the first time!
That solo makes me cry EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Bruh yes 2 different guitarists. 1st one was the Singer Myles Kennedy and 2nd one was Marc Tremonti
'Man, he opened up his epiglottis!' Well said, sir! Well freakin' said.
one of the greatest song of human race. that solo is so epic.
you nailed it. The first solo was Myles KEnnedy the singer, the 2nd one was Mark Tremonti, lead guitarist and considered one of the best modern guitarist by many
I’m loving memory is beautiful also. I actually love that one even more.
Yeah ... they're an AMAZING BAND 🎸🥁
If you want a live version of this hear the Amsterdam Live version of Black Bird 🤘🏼it will blow you away how good these guys are
Definitely check out the live version of this tune. All the guys in the band are masters of their craft, and it shows.
Yes, Myles and Mark both play guitar - again watch the Amsterdam or Royal Albert Hall live versions and all shall be revealed! 🤘❤👏👏
Just for the record - they sound just as amazing live you need to hear
One of the greatest songs ever in any genre period
Fun fact: Miles Kennedy, the lead singer, had a small role in the 2001 movie Rock Star, along with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Anniston. Cool movie, with and excellent soundtrack. 👍🏽
