NASCAR Flips but they Get Increasingly Worse

- This is a compilation of NASCAR flips I put together, but each flip gets worse. Slightly different than my usual videos I make, but if you enjoy this style of video, let me know in the comments! Thank y'all for watching!
That Ryan Preece one is still horrible to look at still all this time later. It’s absolutely incredible that he climbed out of that car.
Yes. It Could Have Been A Lot Worse. Good Thing Ryan Preece Is Still Racing Despite That.
Amen to that
Before that I never saw a Gen 7 car filp that violently
it may look bad but the car never had a dead stop. as long as a car wrecks and slows down somewhat naturally it's not usually gonna hurt someone. flips are much safer than head on wall hits. they're just scary AF for the driver because you never know when it's gonna end.
And came back the next week with the only damage to his body being a pair of Davey Allison eyes.
If you know, you know.
I knew the weakest flip would be Kyle Busch's 2014 flip.
Casey Mears had almost the same flip at Fontana 2008
Because Kyle Busch is weak?
@@caedmon2behrens186 No, the flip was weak.
Because it really was.
P o k e
I can't believe the Geoffrey survived that last one I've never seen anything more violent in this entire sport
2:19
It's not NASCAR, but Greg Moore's fatal wreck is probably the one I saw that was worse. I definitely thought watching this race live that Bodine was dead. I have no clue how he managed to get out of that.
Whoever built the rollcage for that truck had better have gotten a massive pay raise, cause that was the only thing left intact afterwards. I remember that he did an interview from the hospital on the Today show shortly afterwards and they had the remains of the truck on display, and damned if that cage didn't look like it had just come right out of the fabrication shop.
Geoff Bodine's crash in the 2000 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona was very destructive.
Yep. A Lot Of Fans And Drivers Would Have Died If Those Catch fences Weren’t There.
I still consider that the most destructive wreck in NASCAR, especially in the NASCAR Trucks. I wasn't even born yet when that happened.
I remember watching Newman take that hit at 8:33, and the pure silence that ensued afterwards after seeing the impact right by the driver net while upside down, I thought the worst.
I think its safe to say nothing will ever top Bodine's truck flip. That wreck is just plain horrific. Gives ya chills every time.
What were the spectator injuries on that one? People definitely took flaming gasoline and shrapnel to the face.
Preece's flip came pretty close but it really couldn't match it
Thank you for the replays. Too many YT'ers show just the initial video. Showing the replay really adds to the severity of the crashes.
Geoff Bodine's crash during the truck series in 2000 is still quite possibly the worst wreak I've ever seen in Nascar.
Carl Edward's 2009 Talladega flip be like "what am I chopped liver"
Elliot Sadler’s 2003 Talladega Flip:
@@notarotomwithhair5637 his was violent but remember Edward's went INTO the fence! there's also Bobby Alison's crash into the fence in 1987 so
Carl Edwards crash Wasn’t a Flip he didn’t go on his roof it counts as a flip if it hits the roof the car hit the fence and did a 360
@@NASCARFAN03 the car hit the fence with the roof and landed back on its wheels and Carl even said it was a flip
I was looking for Austin Dillon’s Daytona wreck too
9:13 that wreck happened about 10 feet to my right... Was just amazing that Geoff survived that!
Jimmie Johnson is so far the only driver i can say i cant find any video of him going airborne
dont think terry labonte ever flipped
If you count the air he caught at Watkins Glen when he went storming into the barrier.
Kevin Harvick has never flipped either. the closest was when he got on his side in the 2016 Talladega spring race.
1:10 - you have to imagine the pure focus these guys have driving these cars, imagine doing a barrel roll, landing again, and then having the brain power to steer afterward
This is exactly why you don't stand next to a fence. Things like this will happen.
Credit to CoshReport for the video inspiration
Missed Micheal McDowells flip in qualifying at Texas
That crash is just horrifying to watch. If not for HANS devices & SAFER barriers, McDowell would have died for sure.
I just looked it up. The sound of that impact violent as fuck. Credit to the engineers who build these cars
I was 12 years old watching that truck race at Daytona, and me and my dad thought for SURE Geoff Bodines body was ripped apart and all over the track. I remember being nauseated because I thought for sure he was dead
overdramatic lol
Kyle Busch rolls upside down.
Wow.
see the 26 car of cole whitt
@@Dog_uin The 38 of David Gilliland.
@@NickSamon the 51 of Cody ware
@@NASCARFAN03 Cody Ware wasn't even there in 2014.
Preece's crash was almost identical to Bruce Jacobi's fatal crash in just about every way. I think God actually protected Preece that night
Fucking hell. What were the G-forces on that one?
around 50 or 75@@jffry890
Clint’s flip was nice and smooth
7:54 that looks exactly like the King's crash in the Cars movie
That’s because the King’s crash was based on this one. No joke.
I was watching the truck race when Geoffrey Bodine flipped.....I seriously thought he had died.
NASCAR wall hits but they get increasingly harder?
Half of those are probably gonna be flips
4:42 Almindinger was floating for a brief moment. I forgot about that one
Not gonna lie some of these perfect flips are kinda satisfying
im honestly suprised that you didnt put ward burtons sonoma flip as the first one
DW's flip at Daytona and Davey Allison at Pocono ????
I didnt even know about the Almendinger flip timm now
I remember watching the Snider race (5:58) and my mom pointed out that you could see the engine rolling through the infield
The last one man was crazy that driver who caused that shoulda caught a charge bc of the crowd could a been killed by those engines or any parts or flames flying through the net... Dude should be banned for life.
Ned was one of the best to ever do it.
Ryan Newman's will never not hurt to watch
5:23 They act like a car did not just flip at A INTERMEDITE TRACK
7:00 that’s gotta be one of the worst truck series crashes I’ve seen
You missed the Austin Dillon wreck at Daytona in 2015. That's the only time I ever thought I witnessed someone die on live TV. Had he gone into the fence roof-first instead of wheels-first I bet he would've died.
Bodine and Newman wrecks were ones I just…….couldn’t believe it when I saw em
Rusty Wallace thought he was Cal Weathers
Bro one the second Jimmie got sandwiched
That last one was horrendous
I still can’t believe that Geoff Bodine crash…
How did you not include Austin Dillon's 2015 flip?
For me. I love the sport of NASCAR, but, this compilation is exactly why I HATE superspeedway racing.
High speeds and danger with every move.
I'm always uneasy when NASCAR goes to Dega and Daytona.
With the exception of Joey's flip at Dover of course, how in the world do you flip at a track like that?
That was last one was violent
Almost all of these crashes came at two tracks. NASCAR won't change their approach to racing at Daytona and Talladega, and eventually something is going to fail. They create unsafe conditions; the first way to race safely is to not crash. And next season it will be more of the same. NASCAR's head honchos should ask Richard Petty what it feels like when a fan gets killed. They won't, but they really should.
Scott riggs?
i miss the 2000's nascar
Who landed their car better?
Clint Bowyer 0:55
or
Brendan Gaughan 1:29
Bowyer bc if the grass didn't destroy his splitter afterwards, and it wasn't the final lap he probably could have kept racing.
Austin Dillions Dayton flip into the fence should have been in this video
Agreed.
Wow how did the last guy live? Jesus!
Do y’all forget the Nueman flip back in 03 at Daytona?
Are you monetized?
No sir, got demonetized a while back. Just making these for fun!
No Austin Dillon at Daytona?
No Elliott Sadler flip?
did the driver of the last one live on after that all?!
Yes he did.
@@charliep123 thank you... All I care about is the driver's survival in a wreck
Austin dillion?
wheres elliott sadlers talladega flips
Talladega and Daytona super speedway always a must watch because of the big one
I agree
And Atlanta too
I’ll Be Honest, Nascar Flips Are A Lot More Common In Daytona And Talladega Since They Are The Fastest Tracks In The Sport. Not To Mention The Most Dangerous For The Former. Also: 9:20: It Wont Just Hurt, It Would Cause A Lot Of Damage And Driver And Fan Injuries. Or Worse… Deaths.
Daytona, Dega, and now Atlanta are always one wreck away from reenacting the Le Mans 55 disaster. It almost happened in 2009 and 2015 (which I’m amazed you don’t have those wrecks in this compilation).
I’m not a fan of super speedway racing. I’m in the camp that since the inception of the restrictor plate, the racing has become worse and more dangerous.
Here's an idea for your next video. A Daytona 500 Hype Music Video
