Thank you Greg , I am just starting on this Mazurka , have already been playing no3 in this opus , love it ! A couple of observations I'd like to add : bar 4 the 3rd beat in the LH , and again 3rd beat in the LH in bar 16 leading into the next section . In fact the same 2 ch progression from the f minor chord to the Dflat major chord . Something really special , somehow poignant ?

The subconscious part was relatable, lol, Chopin was not being optimistic at all. His death was of all equal despair, but my God the state he died in is heartbreaking.
