Amazing how we could build something like this in such a short amount of time, whilst also fighting a war. Bet we would struggle to do the same today in such a short amount of time, and under such circumstances. So many amazing places under London and other areas that are nowadays just left to decay. So glad we have people like Matt to show us around these places.

we would struggle today because everyone working on the project would have English as a second language and would be paid less than minimum wage. "you pay peanuts you get monkeys" etc etc.........imo

I am glad Jordan had calmed in this episode, I do wonder were the exhausts from the big generators came out, those mufflers were huge so they would have been noticeable from test runs unless they were on permanent. Another thing by the lower ground lift motor where Jordan said about lift counter weight and riding them, I lost a close friend like that but this. Was years ago so hopefully the risk of this is now is low as more secure lift service rooms are in place. Hopefully anyway .

Yes couldn't agree more nothing should be touched especially any electrical item as in main switches and isolators. As you don't know what the previous engineers have done. Yes they should have locked off switches and isolated things woth warning notices but maybe they didn't due to not expecting the wrecking crew to attend AKA JORDAN LOL

I’ve seen other explorers in here and they opened the watertight bulkhead doors using the hydraulic levers you found on that mezzanine level. This is the biggest deep level tunnel / bunker I’ve seen so far under London but maybe you’re able to get into the ultra deep level tunnels some day. I think you were very close here as those telecom wires had to go somewhere out of the bunker.

1:10:14 - that's a Motorola TRBO Digital repeater. There is probably a leaky feeder antenna system throughout the tunnels for contractors, security and any responding emergency services to use. One concern after the King's Cross fire was the inability of people to communicate below ground or to or from below ground. Mobile phones and airwave don't work down there, nor would the LFB's Fireground radio so BT probably installed it at their request.

This shows you guys really need to wear N95/N99 masks on your explores-the "Pectel" shower room you walked into is an ASBESTOS decontamination center, for people in protective outfits who remove asbestos to climb wash the asbestos dust off them. PLEASE take care guys!
I only know this because I googled a bunch of things I saw in part one and two of your video last night and found "Pectel" specialise in Asbestos removal, often for government buildings. And decontamination for asbestos involves shower rooms, protective full body suits, etc. And matt mentions the modern water pipe-which linked to the shower room! Nasty stuff-and I hated to see you all walk into the rooms obviously used recently, and obviously with lots of asbestos dust in. And minutes after, seeing Matt sniffling after breathing that stuff in? Not good.

Those white stickers, a circle with four black and white alternating 'slices' I'm sure has something to do with bunkers or civil defence. I'm prob wrong cos I'm usually high when I watch things 😂

Just to warn you buddy BT have put you under investigation for the sites you are posting especially the Birmingham cable tunnels. Access is never a walk in job especially the way you went about it on the new market street shaft we both know that 😉
