Afterwards she reflected on her career and gave us some wonderful insights into how she got the part in the first Buses film, as well as telling us about many of her other roles on the big screen including Countess Dracula and For the Live of Ada.
On the Buses at the Movies is a feature length documentary that celebrates the 50th anniversary of this classic British comedy film series. RIP the wonderful Anna Karen 🕊
@Ashley Hyne Can you show some evidence of this please
Those were much happier days than now. I feel so privileged to have lived through those days.
i wish i was still in those years we were poorer but happier
@@rayalbion9637 100% agreed.
That was a Great Life back then 👍🏻😁
What have they done to England ?
@@rayalbion9637 Definitely true that. Everyone you knew was in the same boat. Only 3 channels on tv but always something worth watching and some fantastic comedy
she still looks amazing all these years later
It really takes me back in time sat with my 3 brothers and mum and dad watching on the Buses on tv in the 70s. Such simple and enjoyable times i wish I could go back for a day.
What for, you can still watch them now..Nostalgia is not what it's cracked up to be...1970's TV was pretty crap really and what was worth watching you can still watch today.
@@xboxgamer7453 Sod off and watch your offensive Jimmy Carr rubbish. 1970's TV was brilliant especially Monty Python, Steptoe and Fawlty Towers. Nostalgia's not what its cracked up to be? Meaningless twaddle coming from a 21st century berk.
Much simpler times and better for it.
@@xboxgamer7453 "Nostalgia is not what it's cracked up to be". Maybe not for you, obviously is for others.
@@dave8204 M8ate Nostalgia is looking back to youth. When you get older you long for the good old days.....But if you really evaluate what you had back then to the present...All you really miss is your youth.
I reckon at 66 and living in the UK all my life I have lived in the best period of mankind ever
The fact that its 50 years + old and we are still interested in it, and it brings back so many happy memories that has to be testimony to just how good it was!..Given choice between the old and new upcoming comedy I will always opt for the old!!.. 😊 👍
Lovely lady and great to hear her story about a great sitcom and films from 50+ years - don’t make classics like this anymore sadly 💙
She was one of my fantasies in my teenage year's in 71, we used to say cor look at er lovely and she was
Me too - one of my first sexual fantasies on television.Others followed, of course. She was the first for me though.
She was gorgeous..
very much so xxx
No Way!!! Turnaround-Betty!....Better days...Better times...[even though I didn't pop out for another 8yrs:)]....Great to see she's still around and wearing well....Sad to hear of Anna Karen's passing recently R.I.P...All immediate/original cast members now sadly gone....
How lovely is this lady. We should really care more about each other.
Stan & Jack - the Fast & Furious of the 1970's ....just much more fun.Thank you for sharing your memories Andria our fav 'Turnaround Betty'.
England's Starsky and Hutch before the American version came out.
Lovely Lady, and interview. When people talk about a something being dated, it doesn't mean that it's better now. In fact I think sitcoms were much better back in those days.
Andria looks amazing and anybody who enjoys a good read should get hold of her book, its a great piece of fiction with a twist.
Reg and Anna gone recently, RIP. Great to see Andria and those lovely cheekbones!
And beautiful eyes
It's very nice to know some characters from out of On the Buses are around with the sad recent tragic passing of Anna Karen.
What a lovely lady..so nice to hear it was fun, but working with true professionals who were encouraging.
My twin sister and I around 6 or 7 watching this, amazing family tv nights, beautiful lady!! Happy times 🥰
I remember her in on the buses which I loved also the Dracula film .Great to see her on here.

Nice one 👍🇬🇧
Andria Lawrence's first non-speaking film role, among the characters in ' In the Nick ', 1960, though unofficially released, is nonetheless still to be found, online on dvd, from a few enthusiasts, which I've just watched.
Thanks.
This should be shown to all young girls these days! You will end up old in the end!
Yes. Settle with a good husband and keep him. You dont age well and you cant trade up at 40!
RIP Anna Karen
Might surprise you to know that Bus driver Stan Butler was 10 years old than Inspector Blake (Blakey) in real life.
@Fur Q Reg passed a PCV licence and drove trucks whilst on national service in the army lol
@Fur Q he could drive, he would drive the bus to location at times.
@Fur Q Reg most certainly used to drive....if I recall correctly he was driving when he was the first person to use a bank ATM in the UK.
@Fur Q That sounds spot on :)
'Then the ad went viral...' What! back in 1972?
Things went 'viral' long before the digital age, it just happens to be used today much more and I recall often the term 'viral' being used in the 70's.
Great stuff
When people had a funny bone..beautiful lady ..
Fantastic show
For the Love of Ada is on UA-cam.
I'd still give her one
Stunning woman back in the 1970s.
"Ding dong" 🌞🇬🇧
❤️❤️
Never has 15 minutes of screen time been milked into a latter day care of interviews.
Gorgeous
When you consider this was 50 years ago, makes you wonder what she has done since then.
What a beautiful woman
Turnaround Betty. Hilarious
Still very beautiful 😍
remember it all so well...
Simpler, happier times. None of the boring politically correct nonsense draining the fun from everyday life as we see today.
I agree
I miss good British comedy...
@@dbaggins1159 Nowadays, people want to be " offended " by everything they see or hear.
Proper Comedy
The days of party sevens at uni.

Andria is the only one left from 'On the Buses'
She was not one of the core cast.
Y
You know...
I don't think they went much beyong snogging and rolling round the bed in those days...I don't think Jack ever took his trousers off!!!
I watched On the Buses regularly when younger; tried watching one recently......bloody 'ell it's shite!
A great show but couldn’t see it getting by the woke police now.
Thzt was painfull
