That gold sure looks good, even if it's small!! It all adds up!!! Thanks again for bringing us along on your adventures!! Hope to share a river bank with you again, soon!! Good work damon
Nice, thanks again for sharing another video. I have been bouncing around Oregon for a couple of years and love it. We are leaving Coos Bay in the a.m. and heading back to Norcal. I will continue to look out for your future content, for help on my next Oregon visit. Lol
I really dig that green Halloween Goblin Rock with green hair! Way to go Damon! Those Clump grasses tumbledown the Yuba River in flood and I have found a lot of gold in them! Some are the size of basketballs and it takes a serrated bread knife to chop them apart they are so dense.
Thanks Lester, appreciate you being here. And yeah unfortunately the gold isn’t as good where I’m at. But as you can see it’s adding up. Having fun in the process 😁🤙
What's your thought on crevicing. Harbor freight gasket ring puller. Small Pry bar . On those rocks it looked like ancient gold could have been pressed in there as it moved down the hillside.
I love crevicing but it is hard on my lower back. So I prefer sniping. But while crevicing I use a crevice tool and a small prybar to break and move bedrock chunks or boulders. Not to sure about the ring puller. I would have to see it.
Looks like you're doing better on that side of the hill. Got out for a few runs and found some flour gold, but nothing chunky. I'm gonna have to go all mountain man to get to good ground this year. Another great video btw
It’s been fun that’s for sure. I enjoy being out there. And yeah a lot of people don’t like the hike I do to get to this spot. 😂 And thanks man, I appreciate you being here.
Thats looks great. I have no idea on how to do that though ha ha. I started a magnet fishing channel a few months, and its great. It would be cool to add this kind of content to the channel as well.
That's a beautiful area. Looks a little tough getting around down there so I shouldn't bitch about the hike to my claim. Lol. You might think about stashing a few tools down there. Even though I do that, sometimes i forget something. The gold you get is about the same as what i get on my claim. 🇺🇸👍😎⛏🍀
That’s actually a great idea. The only problem is that it’s not claimed and I have seen a few people down here 😕. But it sure would beat packing this 60 pound pack around all the time. Sure was great to meet you man, hopefully we can do it again soon 😁🤙👊
Sorry bud i erased my comment about that creek...wasnt thinking...maybe u didnt want that on there but thanx for the thumbs up...i grew up in that area
@@WestCoastGoldProspecting sure is man. If you're a fan a cannabis or hemp you should stop in. I'm headed to collect agates and petrified wood today. I recently bought a small prospecting kit I'm going to use as well near somewhere on little butte creek or bear creek north of Medford.
Definitely a cannibas fan. Been trimming now for weeks 🤦♂️ I’ll definitely do that man. Get ahold of me on messenger and let’s meet up and find some shiny.
@@fabianasensio1168 , well the gold that caused the gold rush took 10’s of thousands of years to deposit. It will take just as long to do it again. Yes it exposes and deposits new gold but not very fast. It’s a slow process.
@@WestCoastGoldProspecting hi see..what about high banking where others haven't hit, with a spinning panning machine to do the sifting? They look very efficient. Have you ever used one?
@WestCoastGoldProspecting nope not at all, but if you are on a claim, It's not prospecting. That claim was already prospected. You are just pulling gold from the ground. That's mining. Prospecting is going where there aren't known deposits and finding them. Hence, the name.
Not yet, but I know it will happen sooner or later. This trip creeped me out as I was getting a weird feeling about cougars and bears. I need to get some spray for sure.
@@WestCoastGoldProspecting it just look like you had more gold than the weight that you showed. Calibrating your scale is easy and to just make sure that it's correct, that's all I was saying
@@WestCoastGoldProspecting for 20 years I thought my scale was correct but then I found out after putting a 10 g weight on there it was only weighing 8.4 g so I had to recalibrate the scale now the 10 g weight weighs 10 g

Looks fun. Thanks for sharing your finds.
Great efforts , nice colour in the pan but very hard day, just panning whole too much difficult but you did very nice .thanks for sharing, take care
Cool video!
nice gold!

It sure does add up!!!!!! ✅👍🏻
Yes indeed, and there’s nothing like being out there puttin in work 😁🤙👊 Congrats on the sub count Jason. That’s awesome.
great show gold squad like the blacksands trick
Thanks Lee, I appreciate you watching. Yeah I would like to perfect this someday 😁🤙👊
nice hunt fam. keep up the great work. GOLD SQUAD OUT!!!
Thanks for watching brother.
You should of used them smaller bolders to redirect the water to get better flow right behind you

Great some nice yellow that spot would be great for a Rocker if u could get it in .Setup and shovel straight in
That would be great, now I just need to buy a rocker box 😁🤙
I recommend that you make a checklist to go prospecting, so you won't forget anything that is essential.
Greetings from Girona, Catalonia.

Thanks brother, I sure hope to.
That was a fun boulder to move!!!
Hell yeah, I still want to see what’s under it 😁🤙 Lots of material left but that boulder is massive and maybe a little dangerous.
@@WestCoastGoldProspecting yeah we dig under a little just to get it to fall it was really scretchy ⛏⚒😎
Ohhh well that explains why it fell 😂🤙👌 Was there anything nice underneath ?
@@WestCoastGoldProspecting nothing big behind it I think the big good is still underneath it !
Worth a look see 😁🤙 Heading up there tomorrow but I think I might go up creek a bit so I can setup the sluice.

It sure is, it’s tricky I guess you could say. But still love being out there.
Them bits are huge compared to the powder here in Utah. I'd start living on that river hahaha

Thank you Brian, I appreciate you watching. And no I’m a little south of grant pass. I’m right next to the cali/Oregon boarder.

can someone pull out like an ounce every 10 days or?...if I go and pan most of the day 5 days a week? ...and use an automatic panning machine spinner?

This isn't prospecting.... prospecting is the search for previously unknown or forgotten deposits. You are hand mining. Big difference.
