    Hi Eric, your videos are amazing! I will be heading to the lake O'hara region in the second half of September and your videos are really getting me excited! How was the smoke situation? I remember last year being a bad one for wildfires. And were the bugs gone by then? Cheers

      thank you! hope all these videos are helpful! During larch season, I would do Linda Lake #1, Odaray Grandview #2 and Opabin Plateau #3. You won't find any bugs, make sure you're prepared for hail, snow & sunshine. Smoke is every year & varies like the weather, you have no control over it so I just ignore it.

    Awesome! How difficult are these hikes around Lake O’Hara compared to the hikes around Maligne Lake? Such as Opal Hills or Bald Hills.

      These hikes don’t get any easier. The trail system is heavily used & maintained. You barely even need a map, the only difficult things you can do here is scrambling to pass & summits. Trails like Opal Peak is more difficult as you don’t have distinct trails leading up to the summits.
