Right now I'm using Ruh Khus from Ajmal. It's a favourite for hot weather. I layer it with Rose attar & Sandal oil. Only gripe with this Khus I have is that, it doesn't have the depth. It's more of a grassy herbal smell. Eager to explore from other houses.
Nikhil I just ordered an Arochem Ruh Khus off of Flipkart after seeing your reviews of Arochem Ruh Khus and pure Ruh Khus. It just arrived today and I must say I'm already in love with this synthetic version. Will surely go get the organic stuff once the lockdown has been completely lifted. Can't wait to try the original stuff.
I remeber the first time I visited Gulab Singh Joharimal, I tried one of the Khus based attars. I liked how green the scent was but at the same time I felt that this would be a bit tough to pull off as a skin scent. So I rejected the idea of buying it. Now that I have enough knowledge, I feel like visiting the shop again to make the purchase. Thanks for the amazing Content Nikhil Sir. Yesterday i went to perfume shop, i just knew this name Khus nd he rubbed a bit on my wrist, as u said, i thought it smelled too strong nd didn't think much of it but after an hour, when it took effect, it was soothing nd i liked it very much. So today i searched on youTube nd landed here. Thnx for explaining, now I'll buy my first attar ever.

Well Nikhilbhai praises Oud alot, somehow it's not my cup of tea. The best I can enjoy and I have is the Heritage Blend from ASAQ. Others are too animalic to me. But Khus I enjoy alot. I have one from S Md.... And one from local shop as well. Rasasi Woody also has Khush in it, a different smell but worth trying. Longetivity is immense for both Woody as well as ruh Khus.
Today I experienced Rooh Khas, and I have to say that it is one of the finest attars I have ever tried. Thank you for creating such videos; they are extremely helpful. 🙂
In Telugu it is called as " Vatti Veru" ( Simple/Just roots) it became anglicizied Vetiver. Similarly big rodent called " Pandikokku" in Telugu too became Bandicoot in English.

Yes Khus is verry nice fragnace i used to wear khus from my childhood and that same thing we also used that khas ki ghass in our dessert coolers it is verry soothing and giving verry calmness

Sugandhco ke Hazratgunj wale store pe main gaya hoon. Decent commercial collection of Attars. And good collection of essential oils for perfumers. They had hardly any Natural attars.

Sorry, I want to add here that vetiver has it's oil in roots and there are basically three ways of distillation and those are steam distillation, Hydro distillation, Co2 extraction, degga Wala is one of ancient time Hydro distillation is costly therefore it's oil is about 60000/kg, n it is wild veiter specially Bhutan Wala is more famous in attar industries 2nd Wala is 40000/kg and 3rd Wala is about 30000/kg, I am a farmer and doing vetiver and gerenium commercially. Maybe at the end of this series could you make one more video putting all natural Indian attars into context as to in which season (climate) and/or occasion it’s best to wear them and which tend to be more popular with men and which with ladies? Also I would like to second one of the other commenters’ request to eventually do a small review on available budget attars from Ajmal (I’m sure those must be boring for you as they’re mostly quite synthetic in notes but still it’ll be interesting for many viewers)
Sir i am from Nagpur maharashtra actually here is a problem that we can't get a original perfume material like khus and and oud but we get it synthetic material that is not prominent most funniest thing is that we get the khus in rs 50 3ml and most expensive oud got in rs 100 3ml .But the smell is average.and love the smell of all but thing about vetiver is that when I apply it all says that it is cooler perfume smell that most worst moment .but I forget all the things and enjoy the smell .You are my one of favorite perfume guru I learned lot from you in fragrance. Dr. Nikhil, I got Ruh Khus from ML Ramnarain Perfumers. It's intense, spicy, earthy, medicinal, herbaceous and complex. But I miss the experience of drinking matka water perfumed with a wand of Khus roots or sitting besides a water cooler with water flowing over Khus mats. Maybe spraying it as a room freshner in very hot weather would reproduce the effect? I will try. Thanks.
At the end of summer day have a bath and just dab pure Rooh khus attar on pulse points , inner arms , chest ,behind the ears and a bit on nostrils .put on AC .the whole room will be filled with the fragrance of Rooh khus and will eliminate any need for room freshner.It makes you feel so happy and relaxed.take a try.Heavenly experience indeed.
I wonder if finding khus growing.. Uprooting it after taking permission from the plant and then putting it in your matka. Of water or in a bowl of wTed under a fan will give same effect

Vetiver is my Favourite Attar After Oud. I have Vetiver collection from ML, Ramnrain, Mohammad Ayyub Mohammad Yakub , Attar Mohammad Ayyub which 12 years aged , The one from Agarwood Assam and last but not the least Gulab Singh Johri mal Delhi. Each one has a different taste and different dimension Nikhil bhai. Please try Vetiver from Gulab Singh Jihrimal, I find it awesome it’s pure, mature and very refined. I heard something very nice about Srilankan Vetiver, but not getting any authentic source to get it. Please share if you have any Authentic source for Srilankan Vetiver.
Best ruh khus attar i have tested is aerochem frm ratlam ..is it natural or synthetic..i dont know...but its 200 rs for 8 ml...grt longivity and projection.. absolutely cool and soothing

Very good knowledge shared on khus, you should also make videos on lush soaps and indian hand made soaps ( to help the authentic indian hand made soaps industries grow , rather than buying synthetic chemical based soaps ) . Also as in india use of deodorant is high due to low price and ease of use please make some videos series on various range of deo one should use ( price bracket like 0-500 , 501 - 1500 and higher price bracket) . I seen lot of comments on Naaz Perfumes channel for S.Md.Ayub Md. Yaqub attars stating it dint have lasting at all and Gili milti was a waste of money, doesn't smell like it. Do they sell authentic perfumes
All of your old hindi videos on designer and luxary perfumes are deleted or hidden kindly upload them again. They were very helpful and knowledge worthy. We can't stick to attars only all the time sometimes we are not in situation or place or we don't have time to use attars, we have to apply perfume sprays. Kindly re upload them or share link. Hoping you shall understand and react positively.
I live in Jaipur pink city I was looking to buy Ruh khus from long time as it's summer time ..summers are most harsh in Rajasthan... though am Hindu but I love attars special Ruh ones..so yesterday on Eid purchased the uh khus for 1400 ml.. However normal khus attar was 400 ruppes I think but normal also had cooling effect on skin I felt that..also I purchased Ruh gulab,kewra attar,juhi attar and Kamal attar too.. However I had silver Kamal and normal Kamal attar already...
Which is the best perfume which has a majority of this Ruh Khus Note and lasts long ? The green color of this in ittar/oil form is very tricky to apply .. especially on light clothes..Leaves some marks no matter what. Please suggest the closest perfume to this heavenly note

Ruh Khus, my experience is, when I apply it smells like something ancient and "rubbery + cork stopper smell" along with Khus, this remains for longer duration and then as time goes by Khus starts separation from smell. Any body feels same pls reply to me. My Ruh Khus from ML Ramnarain.

Yesterday i went to perfume shop, i just knew this name Khus nd he rubbed a bit on my wrist, as u said, i thought it smelled too strong nd didn't think much of it but after an hour, when it took effect, it was soothing nd i liked it very much. So today i searched on youTube nd landed here. Thnx for explaining, now I'll buy my first attar ever.

Well Nikhilbhai praises Oud alot, somehow it's not my cup of tea. The best I can enjoy and I have is the Heritage Blend from ASAQ. Others are too animalic to me. But Khus I enjoy alot. I have one from S Md.... And one from local shop as well. Rasasi Woody also has Khush in it, a different smell but worth trying. Longetivity is immense for both Woody as well as ruh Khus.
Today I experienced Rooh Khas, and I have to say that it is one of the finest attars I have ever tried. Thank you for creating such videos; they are extremely helpful. 🙂
In Telugu it is called as " Vatti Veru" ( Simple/Just roots) it became anglicizied Vetiver.
Similarly big rodent called " Pandikokku" in Telugu too became Bandicoot in English.

Sorry, I want to add here that vetiver has it's oil in roots and there are basically three ways of distillation and those are steam distillation, Hydro distillation, Co2 extraction, degga Wala is one of ancient time Hydro distillation is costly therefore it's oil is about 60000/kg, n it is wild veiter specially Bhutan Wala is more famous in attar industries 2nd Wala is 40000/kg and 3rd Wala is about 30000/kg, I am a farmer and doing vetiver and gerenium commercially.

Sir i am from Nagpur maharashtra actually here is a problem that we can't get a original perfume material like khus and and oud but we get it synthetic material that is not prominent most funniest thing is that we get the khus in rs 50 3ml and most expensive oud got in rs 100 3ml .But the smell is average.and love the smell of all but thing about vetiver is that when I apply it all says that it is cooler perfume smell that most worst moment .but I forget all the things and enjoy the smell .You are my one of favorite perfume guru I learned lot from you in fragrance.

Dr. Nikhil, I got Ruh Khus from ML Ramnarain Perfumers. It's intense, spicy, earthy, medicinal, herbaceous and complex. But I miss the experience of drinking matka water perfumed with a wand of Khus roots or sitting besides a water cooler with water flowing over Khus mats. Maybe spraying it as a room freshner in very hot weather would reproduce the effect? I will try. Thanks.
At the end of summer day have a bath and just dab pure Rooh khus attar on pulse points , inner arms , chest ,behind the ears and a bit on nostrils .put on AC .the whole room will be filled with the fragrance of Rooh khus and will eliminate any need for room freshner.It makes you feel so happy and relaxed.take a try.Heavenly experience indeed.
I wonder if finding khus growing.. Uprooting it after taking permission from the plant and then putting it in your matka. Of water or in a bowl of wTed under a fan will give same effect

Vetiver is my Favourite Attar After Oud. I have Vetiver collection from ML, Ramnrain, Mohammad Ayyub Mohammad Yakub , Attar Mohammad Ayyub which 12 years aged , The one from Agarwood Assam and last but not the least Gulab Singh Johri mal Delhi.
Each one has a different taste and different dimension Nikhil bhai. Please try Vetiver from Gulab Singh Jihrimal, I find it awesome it’s pure, mature and very refined.

Very good knowledge shared on khus, you should also make videos on lush soaps and indian hand made soaps ( to help the authentic indian hand made soaps industries grow , rather than buying synthetic chemical based soaps ) . Also as in india use of deodorant is high due to low price and ease of use please make some videos series on various range of deo one should use ( price bracket like 0-500 , 501 - 1500 and higher price bracket) . Hope to see videos on this soon.

All of your old hindi videos on designer and luxary perfumes are deleted or hidden kindly upload them again. They were very helpful and knowledge worthy. We can't stick to attars only all the time sometimes we are not in situation or place or we don't have time to use attars, we have to apply perfume sprays. Kindly re upload them or share link.

I live in Jaipur pink city I was looking to buy Ruh khus from long time as it's summer time ..summers are most harsh in Rajasthan... though am Hindu but I love attars special Ruh ones..so yesterday on Eid purchased the uh khus for 1400 ml.. However normal khus attar was 400 ruppes I think but normal also had cooling effect on skin I felt that..also I purchased Ruh gulab,kewra attar,juhi attar and Kamal attar too.. However I had silver Kamal and normal Kamal attar already...
Which is the best perfume which has a majority of this Ruh Khus Note and lasts long ? The green color of this in ittar/oil form is very tricky to apply .. especially on light clothes..Leaves some marks no matter what. Please suggest the closest perfume to this heavenly note

Ruh Khus, my experience is, when I apply it smells like something ancient and "rubbery + cork stopper smell" along with Khus, this remains for longer duration and then as time goes by Khus starts separation from smell. Any body feels same pls reply to me.

Hello sir, i bought ruh khus from gulabsingh johrimal chandni chowk wale but their ruh khus does not last long within 2 hours it evaporates completely without leaving any trail on skin... Can any one suggest me best performing ruh khus in the market?
