When I turned of Realtime protection, Tamper Protection, Core isolation. Then virus executed and started using 20% of CPU, then after 3 - 4 seconds virus is not responding... 😂😂😂 So Window's diffender is best... 😁
Most anti-virus shows that it defended ur pc from virus just to stay in business. Most likely that virus was loaded while installing the anti virus itself or its usually just a routine animation that is always shown to give you the feeling of protection.
McAfee kept popping notification every 5 minutes. I removed it even when I had subscription time left. Using Windows Defender. All is well after this. I suspect Mcafe used to send a hoax notification that, there is virus detected and need to restart. But nothing changes even after a restart. After uninstalling Mcafe, I found a folder OF Mcafe which had a virus. U installed Mcafe and now my PC is virus free.

The users for mac and Linux are small as compared to windows...so it's not profitable to make viruses for Mac or Linux....this is the real reason why those OSs have less viruses.... nothing to do on their UNiX background
Windows Defender is absolute trash. I had a pen drive that had a virus, defender didn't detect it until I manually scanned for it. Even after that, it didn't remove it automatically, defender asked me to choose what I wanted to do with that virus+ even after I clicked on "remove" it took it many tries before it finally removed it.
