You can thin out the acrylic with some isoprophyl alcohol, and also you can use acetone on the rubber parts to remove the factory finish so the paint will adhere more, also for the mesh part it should be a thin coat and you can use some masking tape. But man the color way is dope!!!!!! Great job
These are nice! People are telling you to use Angelus paint not knowing it's still acrylic paint🤦🏽♂️ what i do is mix 1part acrylic and 1 part water or alcohol and apply thin layers and no special deglazer is needed to prep the shoe just use standard nail polish. Well done though 👍🏽
I understand loving diy projects but I feel bad when I see people make tutorials and do them improper. No disrespect but you did this wrong. Not all acrylic paint is good for customizing shoes. Angelus, jacquard and a few others make acrylic paint made to customize sneakers. Before you paint a shoe your supposed to wash it to remove all the dirt it may have, then you didn't use acetone or angelus deglazer to remove the factory finish on the shoes so the paint adheres properly. There's a lot of things that were done wrong. Again no disrespect but people will listen to u and have the paint cracking or flake off due to you adding paint on top of a non-prepped surface. If u watch other diy of people who actually know what there doing you'll see the proper way of doing it so you can actually enjoy wearing the shoes with paint that lasts a long time. Good luck.
@@faithblauhorn3732 angelus paint is fairly inexpensive...they have most of the basic colors and more at all blick art locations....the angelus matte finisher does not dry with a matte look so duller may need to be added or use decoart PREMIUM matte medium as a finisher
@@LegenDarien313 I don't agree with the 'angelus is fairly inexpensive' part, cuz where I live angelus is about 10 times more expensive than acrylic colors. And I'm here to find some other ways I can paint it and make it adheres as long as possible without using angelus.
Why are y’all all hating at least she tried , it’s not like any of y’all can do any better just shut up why come on her video just to speak negativity get your minds right 💯 anyway I think you did great ❤️
Giiirl, I just cringed so hard. Don't do a tutorial to show/teach people how to do something if its done wrong. There's certain acrylic paint for different textures. The paint you used is for canvas, wood canvas, pottery, etc. Using that acrylic on the shoe will eventually crack and make the shoe ugly. If you're interested in customizing shoes do some more research, try it out, and once you perfect it then record it to share...
Thanks for your feed back! We try and we learn right? But hey i'm not ashamed to show that I clearly was trying something new. I know now and plus this video is very old. & there's no need to pretend that we don't have trial and error in life. I can also post whatever i want when I want. Whether it's perfect or not. lmao keep cringing tho! I hope you find the perfect video on how to paint your shoes!
Cause you’re an expert at everything right?!?! I cringe at y’all feckless asses being pretentious for no reason. She made an effort to do something on her own. If she had done no research at all then she would be using children’s crayola paint or some shit. She did an excellent job for her first time being a beginner!! How about you work on your flashback, your boxy ass eyebrows and your inability to color match your lipstick shades for your own skin tone. Y’all kill me tearing folks down over absolutely NOTHING!! As an RN if someone came on here spreading inaccurate info and making videos about feed settings and how to administer medications THEN I could get upset but SIS you have no room to judge her painting a shoe when you can’t even correctly paint your FACE but posting videos with FAR less views than hers 🤔 ...😒 stop it. I just watched a girl use it and looked up how to make sure the fabric didn't get hard. No they haven't cracked. This is just an alternative if someone's feeling lazy and doesn't want to order shoe acrylic.

Christian Mendoza Go back to kindergarten and learn the three there, their, and they’re.
What are the paint options besides Angelus. Are there any cheaper alternatives?

Use Rubbing alcohol and paper towel to remove as much of the factory finish as possible, use painter's tape to cover parts you don't want to color.
It’s a dope theme but use angelus paint instead. Spray with some krylon matte finish to seal the paint
I know now thanks.
Have they cracked ???
Never put you shoes strings in your laces its gonna harden them trust me I did the same thing
