Involute VAWT

A vertical axis wind turbine that incorporates segments of an involute profile. It works for the most part, but I can't speak to its efficiency. I just wanted to throw the idea out there.

Run the center post all the way to the top as an elliptical cone. Keep the top open to vent capture air upwards. Build your outer wings thick at bottom and as they get closer to top decrease thickness. This creates air flow gradient bottom to top.

Дуже цікава конструкція. Масштабування та збільшення кількості крил до 6-8 створить всередині турбіни вихрову структуру. Напрям сили Коріоліса я враховую.

I like this. Do you have a STL so I can print and test here in Scotland. Im testing Douglas Murray-Smiths portable HAWT at the mo.

I just put a link in the description. There is no coil holder designed for this; it's just the turbine and mount.
