As one of the other guys beneath explained Yousei Teikoku means The Fairy Empire, and the charismatic singer Yui Itsuki does look like a small, fragile and beautiful elf. Besides the singing in this band, she is also a well known voice actress in many anime films. The band`s music is also used in a lot of anime films and pc games. Their genre is called gothic metal or sometimes gothic lolita metal, and Yui is very celebrated and almost have a cult following in Japan. They went on a tour to the US a couple of years ago that was also a smash succes. She reminds me a little bit of another goth singer from my youth, who none of you kids out there probably knows, Siouxsie Sioux from Siouxsie and the Banshees just a lot smaller and even more beautiful.
Yousei teikoku is an amazing band. You should check their newest album, The Age of Villains. Such a masterpiece

Yousei Teikoku (The fairy empire) was formed in 1997 by princess Yui, the who aims to revival the empire (the dictator of the fairy empire for life) (lyricist) and Takanori Tachibana (guitar/key/main composer).
Lead guitarist Shiren is BABYMETAL's first guitarist and co-creator of Unlucky Morpheus along with FUKI (Vo). Astral Dogma is one of their iconic songs.Hades:The End MV is a song full of beauty and madness.

Please PLEASE dip your toes into X Japan. They're an 80s rock/metal band that, as quoted by Gene Simmons from Kiss "if these guys were born in America, they might be the biggest band in the world."
Kurenai is the song most people recommend, and it is a good song to introduce them. However, if you're interested in a Magnum Opus on par with Greatest Show on Earth or Poet and the Pendulum, I beg that you check out their song, "Art of Life" and really look at the lyrics. This song saved my life and many others.
