I went to a concert in Coventry in the UK. It was absolutely incredible! I have never heard ANYTHING so loud in my life. The power, the fire, the stage play it was just incredible! Most bands travel with around 400,000 watts of amplifier power. Apparently according to a few leaked things online, Rammstein use around 2.5 million. They supposedly bring their own crate generators as the places they tour to often don't have big enough plug in points to handle the energy usage. I have a video, of my pint of beer sat on a concrete floor with ripples pulsing through it from the bass drum kicks. They also use roughly 1000l of pyrotechnic fuel per gig. (Enough to get a car about 10,000 miles).

      @godscoldhands1868 Рік тому +6

they don't use liquid gas or other fire fluids for the pyrotechnics. they use 100+ kilograms lycopodium spores per show. used for safety reasons and lycopodium spores make a brighter, yellow flame but also burn way hotter than liquids.
also, two big road trucks only for their power generators.

I believe this 100%. I just saw them in Los Angeles this past weekend with my dad who is literally deaf in one ear and only has about 60% of his hearing in the other ear.. as soon as the first song kicked off he looked at me and said, "that's fucking loud!".
We saw Iron Maiden the next day, literally, and even though it was an amazing show, it may have well been a 6th grade talent show as far as magnitude and sound.
Rammstein is a whole other level.

I was at the Coventry gig too! The day after, multiple news agency’s were reporting noise complaints to the local councils from up to 11 miles away from the venue. I’ve never seen such an insane stage set up! RAMMSTEIN are just on fire right now!

It was 1997 when "Du Hast" was released, I was 4 years old and it blew my mind as a kid when I saw the video on MTV. I'll never forget that day and I will always remember when my Mom kept re-recording the video on VHS, so she can show my Dad once he came home from work. It blew his mind as well because we became huge fans ever since that day and Rammstein never disappointed us since. Now, fast forward 25 years later and I finally went to my first Rammstein concert here in NJ at MetLife Stadium. As in my Dad's honor, especially since it has been 10 years since he has have been gone, I made sure to not miss this show at all. I took my 64 year old rockstar Mom along with me because she's a metalhead herself and we couldn't miss this opportunity. Plus, Mom and I just couldn't stop headbanging to every song Rammstein played and we were in section 226, which was an excellent experience and I uploaded some videos myself on UA-cam.
By the way, to all of you on here, Rammstein is one of my all time favorite bands and definitely the greatest band you will ever since live, which is why I recommend you all to one day go to their concert.
    🎸🤘

If I watched this clip, I saw your text. I am from Germany and in 1997 I went to London for one week with my class. One of my school collegues listend to "Weißes Fleisch" and to this time I only heard Pop, German Charts and the music of the good 60th and 70th which played by my dad (Led Zeppelin, Queen, Genesis, The Who, Pink Floyd etc.).
If I was back in Germany I listend mich more Rammstein and from this time my dad realized this and started to be a Rammstein Fan. A few years later (2011) I bought 2 tickets for Rammstein in Bremen (Indoor).
That was amazing and both of us and the whole crowd were happy on this evening.
Today I habe the baddest gap in my life because my dad was dying in 2017. So I can understand the feeling of the power of Rammstein, the feeling to enjoy it live with a dad who is a fan of the same band.
I saw them 2019 in Hannover, 2022 in Hamburg and in 2023 I have tickets for Groningen (NL) and two shows in Berlin. Everytime in concerts of Rammstein during the first songs I am happy and unhappy at the same time because of the missing dad.
Sorry for the bad mistakes in this sentences. Have a nice evening and have some fun with the music of Rammstein. 🤘🏼

Rammstein chartered seven Boeing 747s to bring the two stages and the music equipment to the USA.
The keyboarder Flake once told that Rammstein thought about doing an effect with water. But it became clear to them very quickly that the show electrics were not compatible with water.😁

    • @Mister__Jey
      @Mister__Jey 4 місяці тому

      They never thought about water
That would totally contradict the principles of Rammstein.
The reason why the use fire is, that the band feels the fire and the audience feels the fire/heat too
An experience can't get any more immersive and with water you don't have anything immersive

My husband and I saw them in Montreal for Rammstein concert #7. Being outdoors on an island with a storm threatening was so visceral! We then saw them for concert #8 in Foxborough with our grown children and their friends (crew of 7). Of all 8 concerts (3 indoors and 5 outdoors) we've seen since 2010. The one in Montreal this August 22 was the best -creepy sky, no stadium in the background, best stage set up & best crowd participation!

Hello dear. So happy that you are coming back reacting to Rammstein. You should definitely check out the new Album "Zeit"- time. It's absolutely awesome. Other musicians who reacted to the new album called it creativ, experimental, more melodic. It has the grunchy Rammstein sound and at the same time it's new. Like they they put all their experience they collected in the past 28 years in that album. They made a few official Videos, too. Such as "Zeit", "Angst", "Zick Zack" and "Dicke Titten". Educatedmarine translated all the songs well of the album. With love from Germany 😎 🤘

This stage setup really does elicit a feeling whe you're there. I went to a show in July and it was even more impacting than the two previous show's I'd been to.
The best way I can describe the way I felt being there is that it's like mild existential dread but with the comfort of knowing that even if you didn't change the world in a major way by yourself, you did still see the world and made an impact by building up something legendary by merely being there to witness it. Even if noone remembers you for you or even that you really existed, someone did see you and thought "I have no idea who you are but you're here for the exact same reason and if the greats get remembered then so will we because we were here to help make them." You know you are small in comparison to the world around you but if you weren't there, it would be just different enough for somone to notice it if they paid attention. You don't know the future and how things will end but some small part goes with you regardless so you can just enjoy existence for what it is since there only reason to even be there is to witness as much as possible, get involved and enjoy agreeing with something before you won't be able to anymore. It's a bittersweet thing but leaning much more of the comfort side while not letting yourself forget the negative feeling either. For me the experience of standing in front on those looming towers felt humanising, I left the concert feeling more balanced and settled, with both lingering fears but perfectly mixed with a positive acceptance of just being a person living on a giant space rock. My entire soul is still full of that weighty positivity that only being at such a wonderful live show can bring.

We had front row area tickets(feuerzone) and those flames are even more stunning in real life, especially because you can FEEL the heat(which is INSANE! we couldn't even open our eyes at some points because the fire was so strong you could feel it on your eyeballs). Yeah no not Montreal, though, I can tell cause there is a house to the right and though Mtl was also outdoors in a park, there is a huge piece of sculpture clearly visible to right of the stage. It also rained like crazy there...us the crowd considered the 2 thunderstorms that drenched us as the opening act. Yeah we were cheering thunder and lightning lol! No idea if there are 2 stages. The one I saw in Mtl was definitely full size. Incredible show and yes do pronounce it 'RammShtein' not 'Ramm-steen' or 'Ramm-stine'. It was by far the best concert I've ever attended. I was just behind the Fire Zone, right in front of the soundbooth, and had no problem feeling the heat. I don't know how the Fire Zone crowd do it. Those 4 figures in the lightup suits are 2/3 of the band...Ollie, Doom, Paul and Flake. RZK is doing his DJ thang and Till is probably taking a breather backstage. Don't blame him! He uses 3 flamethrowers to roast Flake in a giant cauldron during Mein Teil. Spraying confetti from a giant phallus cannon ;-) They don't spare the ponies! I think I heard figures like 7 747s to freight over 35 rigs full of gear. It's insane in the best way possible. ETA they've already begun selling tickets for Europe 2023, I'm sure N America 2024 will turn up!

I was one of the MANY fortunate people who attended their New York/New Jersey show in the beginning of September in MetLife. It is my 4th Rammstein concert having attended my first show in London in 2010, then another show the same year in New York MSG which eventually became the LIVE Album "Rammstein In Amerika" then in 2017 a small yet EXCITING show in Jones Beach in Long Island.
If I could attend 4 more shows this year alone I would just how entertaining they are particularly with Til'' pyro expertise. Their pyros have progressively become more tamed but still no less exciting. And for the first time I tore up in their show with the highly emotional "Zeit" and ofcourse the show closer "Adieu" which many believed at the time including myself was their swansong/retirement indicator but only a few days ago I learned from another UA-cam comment that "Adieu" was a song Till wrote for a friend who passed away in 2019.

The guy in the pot is Cristian "Flake" Lorenz, the keyboardist. He gets "picked on" during the shows and music videos, especially by Till because he's extremely lean and much smaller than the rest of the band. It's made him a fan favorite.

KISS was informed by a representative for Guinnesss World Records that they broke the records for most flame projections launched simultaneously in a music concert and the highest flame projection in a music concert during the show. The number of pyro projections was 73, beating out the old record of 66.

Hi Ken! The most important fact about the concert is that they were short-listed for the prestigious "Live Performance of the Year" Award, given out annually by the concert touring industry group "Total Productions International". They publish a magazine called "TPi Magazine". The award for the 2019 season was presented in London, England, February 24, 2020 (1,700 in attendance; Black Tie only). The annual awards event recognized excellence in all facets of concert production, including stage design, stage lighting, sound quality, power tech, crowd security, transportation technology, as well as the managers and management companies of individual tours. The other nominees for "Production of the Year" were the Chemical Brothers, Marco Borsato, Muse, Stormzy, and Take That. The award ultimately was won by Stormzy, headlining “The Glastonbury Show”,of June 28, 2019.
Further references, should anyone wish to find out more:

The only quibbles I would have with some of the other info here in the 99 comments I saw would be about the weight. It is well known that the tour is split in two parts, with duplicate parts going ahead to the next venue to start assembly while the band performs their present concert. But the "1,350 tons" figure being mentioned in the U.S. currently is beyond what I have seen mentioned in the past , which was more like about 72 tons for the stage proper. They may be including the planking on the grounds that you saw at the beginning, plus the multiple towers around the stadium used for lighting and pyro. As for number of trucks: same, some are going ahead for the next concert.

Saw them at the 02 Arena in London about a decade ago and as we were eating breakfast in our hotel, we watched the convoy of trucks going by.

Seven 747s to fly shit in, over 90 semis to haul it, nearly 6days to.build the stage/set...onsite local delivery of fuel for the pyro and cryo...2 concerts each city. I was in L.A. for rhe Sat show...incredible. I've seen them 18xs...they always entertain! So sorry you missed it!
This band are 6 hard workers, they deserve all of their success, and they're nearly 60...they wanna retire...let them keep the money.

Reportedly there was 150 odd trucks that set up two stages in two different cities leapfrogging each other. When they finally took the Stadium Tour to the US it took 7 747-400's to transport it. Now if they'd only come to Australia damn it

actually you can feel the heat back at the (mid stage), (b-stage), I was ground floor in Minneapolis and even when the towers were not going off the heat from the front was enough to roast you to a medium well done steak. I only know a few songs from their collections but it was not only the music but a full on assault of you're senses. If you ever go to the show I would recommend to bring a fresh pair of underwear. when i thought the show was over after du hast, i was not prepared to have my shorts soiled in excitement. i walked (stumbled) out of the venue after the show and i was completely sober. I was so drained and it felt like i had ran a marathon. even after a month has passed here i am making comments on their shows. videos do not even come CLOSE to the live experience!!!

  • @music2seeconcertphotograph457

For the flame thrower on stage you've got to watch the song "Mein Teil" (which translates to my -most private - part) and is about a real case of cannibalism in Germany.
Take the "Live at Hurricane Festival 2013" version.

That video was not in Montreal. We were outdoors. If it was the show there, you would had seen lights from the rides at the park on the other end of the island and see the tall buildings of downtown Montreal in the distance. I attended the show in Montreal at Parc Jean Drapeau. Last time I saw them was in December 2010 and May 2011. The shows were always fun and full of energy. No matter where you were, you could feel the heat of the fire. Oh and the p*nis cannon sprayed foam.
