Thank you for watching! Please let us know if you liked seeing us explore more of France like this episode. We will be back soon with more chateau renovations. See you all again soon 😊
I love seeing more of France as I've only seen a small snippet myself. Whenever there's an opportunity (after your own vacation, of course) and you feel like filming, that would be super fun.
Seeing France through your eyes and your granny’s was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen before. And, she’s such a lovely woman. You favor her a lot too. BTW were your grandparents divorced?
Dude - you have a GIFT for making and producing videos. Such a gorgeous road trip! I love that you got to spend time with your grandmother and those old photos were beautiful.
Thank you Marge (love the Simpsons)! We had a great vacation and Granny had lots of fun with us. Ian enjoyed putting this video together and making it something a little different for this week.
I felt like I was watching a documentary on your grandparents' lives. How beautifully shot and edited. I teared up a bit when your grandmother turned, and smiled at the camera with her hat on. She reminded me of my little Italian grandmother, and my heart clench at the memory of a favored person in my life. What a treasure this video will be in the future. Thank you all.
I have been so emotionally engaged in this video. The stunning views but what touched me the most was you and your Grandmother. To relive the past with her is priceless. You live a remarkable life. Thank you.
Brings back so many memories. My husband passed earlier this year of dementia. We owned an apartment in Anncey for 20 years and travelled extensively throughout France and Italy while we were there. It was a wonderful experience. So enjoy your vlogs.
What a beautiful family story Daphne! Thank you for taking us for a ride as well! So excited to see it and hear it. Hope you enjoyed your little break.
I think this may be my favorite video you have done thus far. There will always be projects to finish at the chateau but time spent with aging loved ones -especially an adventure such as yours are priceless.
You will never regret spending this wonderful time with your granny.... such wonderful memories and you have it all on film. Thank you for taking me with you as well as I shall never be able to visit those places. The filming and editing was par excellence !! Love those drone shots. You captured light so beautifully...sunsets, light on the water, light on the stone walls and shade in the day. Thank you so kindly.
What a great video. A little chateau, a little sight seeing, and a great story. YES, YES, YES, do more travel videos. Ian, your editiing is the BEST!!!! combined with Daphnie's voice over or comentary, makes for very enjoyable watching.
How wonderful your relationship is with your grandmother. My grandma was the most important person in my life growing up and when I lost her at 90 years old my heart was broken in places that will never heal. Watching you and your grandmother reminded me of how special that bond is and brought me to tears.
This episode literally brought tears to my eyes. Missing those magic moments with my grandparents. The filming was spectacular. Absolutely captivating work. So well done.
Your grandmother is beautiful, you look a bit like her when she was young. Thanks for taking us along on your vacation, for some of us who will never travel to France, this video is such a nice visual experience. Making beautiful memories with your granny, a good thing.
Every time I think that was the best episode! Then you blow me out off the water with a new even more epic episode! Dripping with succulent views and shimmering scenery. Your stories and graceful journey is a true honor to watch. Feeling blessed
I am in tears . The most beautiful video thus far . Thank so very much for the love you give to your Gorgeous Grandmother. And we all love Ian for not having made a snack out of Charlie. Love from Canada
That was certainly an eyeful. Every moment was perfectly lovely. Ian, you're a great chateau owner, but you missed your calling as a movie maker. Wow. Stunning shots, and the editing is pitch-perfect. What a treat. Will definitely watch again.
That was a touching episode not many have deep roots to love and share and many that do are tied up with just making a living when making a living is really the time we spend and offer to one another. God bless your granny and Godspeed to you all. 🙏
What a beautiful story and exquisitely filmed... I loved your granny's comment that it was a 'different era and they lived it. They lived it really well!' What a time to be on the Riviera! I wonder how many well-known people they met, at that time, in that place. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for this lovely video. It captures the love you feel for your grandmother in a very touching way. YOU MADE ME CRY. Love it. And love being able to share your "journey". it is truly a gift to catch a glimpse into your life.
Belated comment- Inwas delightful seeing your family together on a road trip, it is important to spend time with Grandma and this cannot be replaced.
