Thank you so much for your work, passion and simplicity. I have also discovered spalting wood by accident in the forest 10 years ago. And i have also fall in love withe the materials.
I love spalted wood and turning it. So much more that can be done to it with adding a hint of colour or stains. Let the salting beauty remain and give it more definition....or just let the natural beauty speak for itself. I spend countless hours exploring the wood pile for the many hidden treasures it holds. Thanks for making this movie. I am looking forward to the next book now.
Two masters of spalt. Did not realize the dye was available. Just knew about the grow your own from the presentation at Oregon Symposium. Wonderful! I have a pile of London Plane that is going spalt. Now I have more ideas of how to use it effectively. Thank you!
Excellent adjunct to "The Book". Thank you both for an exciting 2 hours. Now to get over there and turn some pieces out of that wood I spalted using Dr. Robinson's methods.
Thank you both very much for this comprehensive movie. I too am drawn to the spalted wood. I just started turning about a year ago and even thought the spalted maple I have is difficult to work with I always find the finished piece more rewarding. I have tons of spalted Maple and some Cherry. I also like working with Mulberry and am wondering if that can be spalted.
Thanks for making and publishing this!

Wonderful material. I wish Sara would not rush her speech and trail off her sentences...it's hard to understand.
