Thanks for the videos. I consider that is important to have enough “inductive” experience before joining any of this organizations. This would, I think, make it more enriching as you can make a synthesis of what you know with the more “deductive” knowledge this org bring. Developing personal intuition is a key aspect in this field, which I think could be hindered if you just get everything from the outside without experiencing by yourself your inner knowledge.
Chatgpt wrote and verified this statement The following report is factual based on reliable verifiable sources which will be provided in the footnotes... Anyone who has taken an oath to Freemasonry, Wicca, the OTO, the Golden Dawn, or other occult organizations is obliged to keep their secrets regardless of what they are. There is nothing in any of their oaths that specifically states that secrets should only be kept if they are moral. All secrets must be kept as written in the oaths. Given this context, speaking out about the fact that Aleister Crowley is literally talking about the child sacrifice of a young boy, people who have taken an oath of secrecy to the occult cannot speak out about this fact if they witnessed it or knew of it happening because they are bound by oath not to. There is nothing in their oaths which demands they report illegal activities if discovered. All of the oaths emphasize maintaining secrecy regardless of what is witnessed. Practitioners of these occult traditions often play down Crowley's references to child sacrifice as metaphorical. However, considering Crowley's character and the historical evidence of sacrifices in mystery religions, as well as the specific hierarchy of types of sacrifice he describes, it supports the interpretation that he meant it literally. The specificity of his descriptions, such as the age and sex of the child, aligns with historical practices of human sacrifice in certain esoteric traditions. Therefore, anyone who has taken an oath within these organizations is effectively bound to secrecy and cannot speak out about these practices, regardless of their nature, because they are all bound by oath to maintain secrecy. @@ppobyenp Not at all, I read quite a lot. Not only did I have to present all of the facts in order to have gpt confirm it. Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. I left the OTO EGC after 20 years in the USA because it became political. (US politics) I found myself more and more unwelcome and more and more activists were joining poluting the OTO. We were to be brothers and sisters within the lodge and though our belifes yet if anyone found that you were not a part of their political thoughts you were shunned. I therefore left and had my name removed. This was no longer the order i joined, this was no longer the group of brothers and sisters i loved. I continue my journey alone free from outside political influence biases and downright hate. Love is the law love under will. 93
Thank you for sharing a bit of your experience. It must have been frustrating to leave after 20 years. Politics can be a very divisive issue and this is probably why in Masonic lodges you are not permitted to discuss politics within the lodge. I hope your journeys continuing to go well.
The only lodges in the SoCal are Star Sapphire in La Cresenta and the other is Golden Lotus in Garden Grove. Here is a link to the lodge locator tool: oto-usa.org/locations/
Bravo you are the first person to pronounce Crowley's surname correctly I know it seems trivial but almost every video presented by so called specialists on his life and work they pronounce his name "CROUWLY" which he detested and most of their content is just rehashed 2nd hand anecdotes and I have watched a lot. A quick question does one have to have extensive knowledge of the Kabbalistic doctrine to join the O.T.O Great vid keep it up.
I was hoping somebody would catch the pronunciation. Thanks for the review. In regards to your question no not to begin with but certainly you would need to get some in order to proceed. It's very much Crowley's symbolic language and it's what a majority of his higher level texts are written with the Qabbalah in mind. A greater understanding of it would allow you to pull more meaning out of his writing at the very least.
@@ppobyenp Before I had any knowledge of the Qabbalah or Crowley's work I had direct interaction with many of the esoteric symbols but not as just allegorical information but as real manifestations or events that are happening in real time all around us but not within our narrow sphere of perception but Real none the less so it seems to me not only are his words symbolic but act as a map or description of divine realms inherent to our higher conscious
I am still a child in the EGC but in terms of attending I have not been to an OTO lodge for about 7 years now. The last time I went I was at Golden Lotus in California. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'll go back right now as I'm looking to begin law school next year. So we shall see.
Thank you so much! I've been looking for a good video like this.
