- I can't believe a year has gone by since my first Jersey Jeff Eats video. It started a year ago this week with no subscribers and now we are over 1500! It's been a great journey and there is so much more I want to do with this channel and take you guys along with me! In this video, I stop by a sand castle contest in Point Pleasant Beach, take a walk along the beach and boardwalk, show you guys around the marina area and then head over to the place that kicked the channel off ... Stewart's! I order a Italian hot dog, beer battered onion rings and of course, Stewart's famous root beer to celebrate! Come along with me! There's still a Stewart's Drive-In in Vineland NJ. You pull up and they bring you order right to you car just like the good old days. I miss the shore. I've been living out here in Nebraska for 17 years now. I really miss the food back home. Thanks for your videos! It gives me a taste of home.

Congrats! Jeff on your one year anniversary. The proper bread you're referring to for an Italian hot dog is called pizza bread. Big round Italian bread with a hole in the middle. That's what's used up by me at all the Italian hot dog places in Newark, Bloomfield and Union . You can also buy them at Calandra's bakery.😅

Yes, go there all the time. I'm originally from Newark but no longer live there. Calandra's bakery is right across the street from Dickie Dees. I sent you a link for the bakery. Don't know if you got it. Love that bakery. Where pizza bread is sold. The best breads there ever. especially their French bread .yum

Congrats on 1 year on UA-cam! I went to Stewart's the other day in Seaside and got a Cream Soda. So good. I have also been there a few times as well. lol Definitely the wrong roll for that type of sandwich. lol I shouted your channel out in my next vlog coming out soon.

I had an argument with my roommate years ago and left the apartment, & not having any money, I decided the best thing to do was to go the Coney Island beach and sleep on the beach, if I could get away with it. I arrived after midnight and I was surprised (it was a summer night) that the beach was full of people and weren't being asked to leave. So I slept on the beach and woke up around 4am and noticed a bunch of young people skinny dipping in the water. Couldn't see all I wanted, lol, but even if you don't feel like it, getting out of the house you'll see some unusual things you'll be glad you did.
Coney has some great fireworks at night during the season. Probably prettier than the skinny dippers.

Hate to say it Jeff, but that hot dog didn't look appetizing to me. i'm glad you enjoyed it. onion rings looked really good however.
Was it the dog? The toppings? The dog was deep fried, crispy on the outside. Some people don't like that. Regardless, I appreciate your watching Richard!

@@JerseyJeffEats I've been putting hot dogs in the oven recently and they've been coming out great! I didn't have any rolls, so I decided to try them in the oven after 20 minutes at 350F and I was surprised how good they were.
