Great content. To update you accordingly to my recent research on the CIC site concerning the NSE program, 6months bank statement is no longer required just a history of 12months showing the required funds.

What if your company is the one sponsoring you and to be accompanied with your sponsor; what will the company has to show has proof of relationship
Your company has to write a sponsorship letter indicating that they'll be taking care of your trip, how much they are funding, why they want to sponsor you, the benefit on their end and likewise yours, etc.. You can also attach your employment letter, pay stubs, reference letter, etc.. to show your relationship status with your company

It's been said the NSE stream makes the process alot faster for Nigerian citizens compared to the regular study direct stream. Also the NSE requires Nigerian applicants to have a MyBank certificate showing funds for their studies (equivalent of CAD $30,000) held in a bank account for at least 6 months plus 12 months banking history. Stakeholders had to express their concerns as this was disadvantageous and discriminatory because the SDS just requires students to show CAD$10,000.

Again, must I provide IELTS score of band 6 minimum for the NSE? I asked this because my school only asked for an evidence that I was taught in English. Despite this, do I need IELTS for NSE?
Furthermore, is there a cost difference between NSE and the other?

@@franklinchibuikeigbodekwe9386 yea, that's what it says on the website which is one of the reasons i prefer the regular study permit route. Generally, Canadian institutions don't require you to write IELTS if you're from an English speaking country and Nigeria is one of those countries. However, since your school didn't request for IELTS but requested that you just show evidence that you're taught in English, then you can do just that but keep in mind that that's for the admission aspect. What about the visa application requirement?
If you plan on applying through NSE route, my best guess is that immigration officer going through your file might look out for that document which is your IELTS result as it already mentioned on the website that it's a required document. I hope you understand the angle I'm coming from...

Does this mean you can't use the NSE route if you have a sponsor outside your immediate family?
Hi, a sponsor must not necessarily be from your immediate family. I have seen sponsors who are extended family members and even employers who sponsor their staff to study abroad.
Please do I need IELTS for regular study permit
You generally wouldn't require an IELTS if you're from an English speaking country such as Nigeria but still check the entry requirements of your Designated learning institution to be fully certain it's not part of their requirement
