I think Matthew Gordon is the best interviewer out there in this space. When he gets done interviewing someone you literally can almost make a decision to invest in that company or not. No fluff, no small talk, just the facts.
Dissatisfied, former shareholder here. There is a gold bull market raging on - the opportunity cost of waiting for these guys to sort their stuff out proved to be too much. I sold, moved on to other companies, and have made more money. No hard feelings though. Good luck to them.
I agree. These days, I think 'invasive' interviews are essential in discerning and discovering the true value in miners like Osisko. Matt does an excellent job in trying to get to this goal with viewers.
Thanks, Matthew. Good to bring OR up onto your screen. Highly interesting company. Sean has seen it all. Very shrewd leader. What a power house. As so often, investor's patience will be key here i.m.h.o.
As a cardiologist, I am concerned with Mr. Roosen's physical profile. He appears to be in a severe risk status based on facial determiners and hope he takes his health more seriously, aside from his responsibility to the ongoing concern of Osisko. I hope he makes a point to consult a physician for a checkup.
Great interview Matt! Quickest way to realize value and rerate OR Wrap up their brownfield assets, with gross overriding royalties payable to OR, in a new corportate entity. Removes the development risk. Then there would be a bidding war for the pure royalty play with long life reserves. This is the catalyst for a higher share price.
Here we are 2 months later, with a DevCorp rto, new funding for barkerville assets, transforming the royalty Corp out of the cumbersome hybrid model. Nice job Sean.
Matt, you did a really good job asking all these questions. OR was the worst performing stock in this space since inception. So Sean Roosen has to convince the public that there are better times to come. They made a lot of silly mistakes but also have done some things quite well, like taking over Barkerville for an extremely low price. And also to say: Their business model is not difficult to understand for people with some intelligence. See EMX or Golden Valley Mines. Do you understand what they do? For sure yes. So also OR is not so difficult to understand. What was new for me is that Sean Roosen considers OR a takeover target. I heard something quite different. In my opinion a business combination of OR and Maverix would make a lot of sense. But it will NEVER be done because of "personal reasons". How to merge these two management teams and keep all important persons on bord? NO CHANCE! Matt, you didn't ask about the quarrel about the royalty on Canadian Malartic between Osisko on one side and Agnico Eagle on the other. It seems to be solved in favor of OR. This would be good news for all these unsatisfied shareholders. OR is one of the most controversial stocks that I know. What to do with it: sell, hold or buy? I still don't know.
Exactly what I was thinking when he opened the interview in a rather tone deaf way considering the general mood around the stock. Look at a 5 year chart and tell me how this stock has generated reasonable return( considering the volatility and sector performance ) to anyone who bought in the open market. However considering the options available in the royalty space I made a decision to hold the company. I haven't lost money but considering the price action in gold and the other gold related equities there was a significant opportunity cost. It's always frustrating to get the "macro" right but then own an asset that under perform's it's benchmarks. I think is why investors are losing patience. images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51KQaa3QU1L._SX319_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg Humorous and entertaining, this book exposes the folly and hypocrisy of Wall Street. The title refers to a story about a visitor to New York who admired the yachts of the bankers and brokers. Naively, he asked where all the customers yachts were? Of course, none of the customers could afford yachts, even though they dutifully followed the advice of their bankers and brokers. Full of wise contrarian advice and offering a true look at the world of investing, in which brokers get rich while their customers go broke, this book continues to open the eyes of investors to the reality of Wall Street
Thanks, great video. I would be very interested in an seeing an Video on Osisko Development Corp. Its Sean Roosen's new baby, just listed and looks to have amazing potential. Many thanks

Candid. Firm. Direct. Invasive. Respectful. This is why I tune into Matt’s channel.

That guy is solid and knows his company well.
Thanks Matthew! Good work!
Glad you liked it!
My question is what will inflation do the the price of Gold?
Where are the shareholders yachts?
High tide will float all the Yachts :)
Find out where the yachts are buried, and you'll find out if this company is real.
Coming😅😅😅
