I do have a question regarding the grade of each of the course, like do you need to have over certain amount of percentage than you can pass the course or it really doesn't matter if you have 70% or 90% of the grade for one course?
I see that after finishing few courses it unlocks the capstone project. Do I need to apply to financial aid again for the capstone project as well or it can be accessed after unlocking it?

This is great! I'm almost done with part one, and was getting worried when I saw the in class experience part for the next section. But you put that at ease when you explained how they do it! Might be aiming to teach English in South Korea - this program REALLY is worth it. Also, if anyone works for a corporate, see if they might cover Coursera in the benefits. I'm sorry but they are important and I don't think you will be able to skip them. Everything is peer-reviewed in order to pass and if it's missing, you won't be able to finalize and do your capstones.

The financial aid took 15 days to be approved. You will be answering 3 questions regarding your financial assistance to the program, and after that just wait til you get approved.

I have finished 3 out of 8 parts of this course in March 2021, but I had to stop then because of my diploma issues and then summer holidays. All these 3 parts I passed with the help of financial aid and in March 2021 I have received a financial aid for the 4 part of the course. Unfortunately I haven't done it immediately and it's been already 6 month and now it is October and I'm ready to continue. But I faced the problem with the access to some parts of the course - it is said that I have to pay and then I can continue. Is it because I wasn't there for so long? Or maybe Coursera policy changed? How can I figure it out? Thanks for your attention. And one more question. After finishing 8 parts of the course, I will receive a certificate; should I pay for the certificate and it's transportation to my country?
Hmm. You may want to contact them to ask about the financial aid. I suspect it expired and you should re-apply for it. If you would like a paper copy, yes, you should pay and have it shipped. I don't think there is an extra fee to have it shipped internationally, but I'm not sure since I didn't do that.

It is a diploma type of certificate from ASU for TESOL of more than 150 hours. It doesn't list anything else on it. The portfolio you will create will be an important thing to hold on to for CVCs and resumes.
When I go to complete the process in the last stage I.e submit it shows like I.e directly jump to qualifications. After that it can not further. So please clarify to go further to get success to b enrolled
Hi! I recently received an email from Coursera notifying me about the completion of the Teach English Now! course. I have successfully finished all eight sections and earned the TESOL certificate. However, I am currently facing an issue while filling out the form below. The form requires me to provide the links for specialization 1 and specialization 2. I am unsure about where I can find these two links. I attempted to copy and paste the certificates for Capstone Project 1 and Capstone Project 2, but the system is not accepting them as valid values. Yes. In fact, I applied all at once. Except for the capstone projects. You have to wait for those ones. You have to finish all other classes in the course before each capstone.
Did anyone notarize, legalize tje certificate while taking the course from outside of the US? Apparently you need to go through this procedure to apply for a work visa in Asia so that your certificate is legal there.

Sorry for the delay in answering, this one slipped by me. You have to submit videos too. Observation and being observed is part of the process of a ligit TESOL course.
Only what is available on the platform as far as I am aware. Click around and check into that one. I was able to transfer and earn credits from ASU to UMASS, so... check into it.

If I apply for the financial aid for all the courses at the same time, wouldn't be actually not good since they'll ask me to complete the weeks (e.g. I am a week behind and then they end up taking off the financial aid after, if I recall, 180 days)?
The deadlines are a guideline. I don't know about the 180 days for financial aide. But, that's about 6 months/26 weeks, so you still have lots of time...

Now I want to take the rest of the courses in order to get my Tesol certificate, but now I want to get the financial aid. I'm sorry, I really have no idea. I should think so. When I log in, it shows me the courses I have already completed. You could also email them to find out.

There is one thing I am still confused about, when I search for AZU TESOL certificate in coursera I get 2 versions. I found both Part 1 and Part 2 but I also found another version that is titled "Arizona State University TESOL Professional Certificate". This version includes all 8 courses together. The digital certificate is immediate. The physical certificate cost $50 and depends on where you are located for the time it will take to arrive. It was reasonable for me.
I am taking this course too but I am worried it can't be apostilled at the end. Has anybody tried to legalize it? Has anyone managed to get an online job without legalizing it?
I was awarded 3 college credits for it! It's 100% legal from a reputable university. You should be able to apostille it at the end. I also use it for jobs all the time. It comes looking just like a diploma. Keep going-- It's worth it.

You can apply for financial aid 6 times, but must finish the course in full before you can apply for the Capstone projects and financial aid. You may apply all at once. If you pay, it is per month until you finish. If you finish the full course in 2 months, you will pay a total of $98 plus any fees for printed certificates.

It is a very open structure, so you can finish at your own pace. I believe you probably could complete it from a smart phone but the experience would certainly be better on a bigger screen.
If I am not working this year does it make sense for me to rough estimate my income from last year? Will they not accept if they think I made too much last year?
They don't ask for income verification, so don't worry about any of that. Just state in your essay that you aren't working this year, and write that you can't afford to pay anything.

Grade doesn't really matter. 😊 As long as it's passing. But don't worry... you can retake and get better quiz grades. Peers grade quite liberally.

I'm sorry but they are important and I don't think you will be able to skip them. Everything is peer-reviewed in order to pass and if it's missing, you won't be able to finalize and do your capstones.

I have a question. I have finished 3 out of 8 parts of this course in March 2021, but I had to stop then because of my diploma issues and then summer holidays. All these 3 parts I passed with the help of financial aid and in March 2021 I have received a financial aid for the 4 part of the course. Unfortunately I haven't done it immediately and it's been already 6 month and now it is October and I'm ready to continue. But I faced the problem with the access to some parts of the course - it is said that I have to pay and then I can continue. Is it because I wasn't there for so long? Or maybe Coursera policy changed? How can I figure it out? Thanks for your attention.

Hmm. You may want to contact them to ask about the financial aid. I suspect it expired and you should re-apply for it.
If you would like a paper copy, yes, you should pay and have it shipped. I don't think there is an extra fee to have it shipped internationally, but I'm not sure since I didn't do that.

It is a diploma type of certificate from ASU for TESOL of more than 150 hours. It doesn't list anything else on it. The portfolio you will create will be an important thing to hold on to for CVCs and resumes.
When I go to complete the process in the last stage I.e submit it shows like I.e directly jump to qualifications. After that it can not further. So please clarify to go further to get success to b enrolled
Hi! I recently received an email from Coursera notifying me about the completion of the Teach English Now! course. I have successfully finished all eight sections and earned the TESOL certificate. However, I am currently facing an issue while filling out the form below. The form requires me to provide the links for specialization 1 and specialization 2. I am unsure about where I can find these two links. I attempted to copy and paste the certificates for Capstone Project 1 and Capstone Project 2, but the system is not accepting them as valid values. Yes. In fact, I applied all at once. Except for the capstone projects. You have to wait for those ones. You have to finish all other classes in the course before each capstone.

Did anyone notarize, legalize tje certificate while taking the course from outside of the US? Apparently you need to go through this procedure to apply for a work visa in Asia so that your certificate is legal there.
The hard copy has an embossed, raised seal on it.

No, just make sure that everything in all the other courses is 100% complete. Then you will be able to apply for financial aide.

Only what is available on the platform as far as I am aware. Click around and check into that one. I was able to transfer and earn credits from ASU to UMASS, so... check into it.

If I apply for the financial aid for all the courses at the same time, wouldn't be actually not good since they'll ask me to complete the weeks (e.g. I am a week behind and then they end up taking off the financial aid after, if I recall, 180 days)?
The deadlines are a guideline. I don't know about the 180 days for financial aide. But, that's about 6 months/26 weeks, so you still have lots of time...

Hi Misses Dee. Your video is very helpful. In 2017, I took the first two courses Foundational Principles and Theories of 2nd lang. acqusition. I paid for them and I got a certificate per each one. Now I want to take the rest of the courses in order to get my Tesol certificate, but now I want to get the financial aid. There is one thing I am still confused about, when I search for AZU TESOL certificate in coursera I get 2 versions. I found both Part 1 and Part 2 but I also found another version that is titled "Arizona State University TESOL Professional Certificate". This version includes all 8 courses together. It depends on their submission levels. Usually 4 to 6 weeks, depending how many are submitted at the time you pass yours in to be graded.
I applied for this course, at first I thought I'll just do part 1 and earn the shareable certificate from coursera, but now I am planning on finishing all 150 hours and earn the ASU certificate. I want to know how do I apply for the 150 hours certificate and pay 50 dollars, and do i have to pay for the digital copy of the certificate as well or only if I want the hard copy? Hi. Once you finish the entire course you will automatically get the certificate. You only have to ask for and pay for the hard copy.

In the end of course number 8, i will send my assignment for educators at Arizona State University and they will evaluate it. It won't take as long as you think. I believe 4 to 6 weeks for everything to complete.

You can do it either way, but you do have to complete all three courses prior to each capstone project before being able to access or apply for it.

Please make sure that your peer reviews have been completed by your peers. Bump the posts asking for a review. This is often what is missing before you can compete the program.
One of the courses in part 2 seems to have no financial aid option..i think its the capstone project..is there an option to have a financial aid..
You'll have to complete all the other courses first. They have to be 100% complete, then you will be able to apply.

Yes, I belive it is no matter where you live. You will be offered to purchase it when you finish the course.

The digital certificate is immediate. The physical certificate cost $50 and depends on where you are located for the time it will take to arrive. It was reasonable for me.
I am taking this course too but I am worried it can't be apostilled at the end. Has anybody tried to legalize it? Has anyone managed to get an online job without legalizing it?
I was awarded 3 college credits for it! It's 100% legal from a reputable university. You should be able to apostille it at the end. I also use it for jobs all the time. It comes looking just like a diploma. Keep going-- It's worth it.

It does not expire! It's a lifetime certificate.

You can apply for financial aid 6 times, but must finish the course in full before you can apply for the Capstone projects and financial aid. You may apply all at once. If you pay, it is per month until you finish. If you finish the full course in 2 months, you will pay a total of $98 plus any fees for printed certificates.

It is a very open structure, so you can finish at your own pace. I believe you probably could complete it from a smart phone but the experience would certainly be better on a bigger screen.

If I am not working this year does it make sense for me to rough estimate my income from last year? Will they not accept if they think I made too much last year?
They don't ask for income verification, so don't worry about any of that. Just state in your essay that you aren't working this year, and write that you can't afford to pay anything.
