    I am really impressed and I am not easy to impress.... You really know your stuff, some of what you have talked about I learned the hard way by trial and error.

    I purchased this laser at a show, and haven’t regretted it! I have been a garment sewer since the age of 10 (I am in my 60’s.for the life of me I could never sew a straight line. My mom taught me to sew, and if the seam wasn’t straight, or too big, I would go grab that garment to wear, and the seam was gone. Started quilting 20 years ago, and embroidery. This laser is great, I love it!

    Thank you for this review. I have a multi-needle embroidery machine. It would have been nice if you had shown how to attach it to the multi-needle machine. I know you showed the line up on a table with the hoop, but on the machine would have been good. If it was possible. Maybe it's not even possible. I might get the light and see how it goes.

      Sorry, I didn't try the laser on my multineedle since mine has a built-in laser. Each brand has a differently shaped head so it's going to be different on each model. But it should be similar to the single needle, once you figure out WHERE on the multineedle head to attach the unit. I don't think I would use the tacky putty on the multineedle either - they vibrate much more and it could fall into your hoop. Yikes!

    That was a good tip mounting on an upside down container for hooping - many thanks x

    You should consider setting up an Amazon store with your favorite items. Thanks for the video.

    Thank you Mary for letting me know the coupon code didn't work for you. Your comment went missing from UA-cam but I've contacted Dave to see if he can fix the code.

    Great review thanks Luci. I bought a Vivilux last year & encountered the same problems with the velcro. I’m going to try your suggestion! Also I hadn’t thought of using it for free motion embroidery - which I do a lot of. I’ll be trying that too & with my recently bought Coverstitch. #manymachines¬afraid

      Ooh! Have fun with the coverstitch! My Janome is finicky. I wish I had the money for the babylock but I just battle with the Janome and test, test, test until the stitches are balanced on the fabric.

    Perhaps silly question - but doesn’t staring at the laser beam for a prolongued time hurt ( and possibly even damage) ones eyes ? If not … a groovy item. Thank you for reviewing it.

    • @BallyhooCreations
      @BallyhooCreations  Рік тому

      Lasers can damage your eyes if you point the beam directly at the eyes, but in this case we're looking at a reflection of the laser and it's not pointed at anybody's eyeballs so it's safe. That all being said, staring at anything too long will give you eyestrain and we should all remember to take a breaks when we're sewing. 😁

    How do you attach that clear foot to the ankle? I broke the black piece off of the ankle

    • @BallyhooCreations
      @BallyhooCreations  6 місяців тому

      The machine in the video has snap-on presser feet for a low shank. But if something has broken on your machine you may need to take it in for service.

    Can this be used on a Longarm sewing machine for doing pantographs?

    • @BallyhooCreations
      @BallyhooCreations  Рік тому +1

      I don't see why not. As long as the longarm has a place you can attach the battery box and bend the gooseneck light, it should work. Sounds like a good use for this!

    What model do you use?

      This video demonstrates the vivilux green laser on a Husquavarna Viking Designer 1 machine. I don't know about model numbers for the laser. Just make sure you get the laser, since they also have LED lights that are for task lighting.
