The developers mentioned a multiplayer beta this Spring. Are you excited? The demo is available till 20th of March. If you missed it first time, now is your second chance!
It would be awesome if one of these games would come out where each unit is micro managed by OpenAI, such as taking cover in appropriate areas and awaiting further orders, or coordinating flanking maneuvers with other units nearby while the player is distracted elsewhere, leaving you to deal with more of the macro elements to manage the army more efficiently... Like you could intervene if you see a better solution to the unit's situation, but largely the units would manage themselves in skirmish engagements leaving the player to coordinate their larger objectives like, set up here, deploy Lav here, marines support this LAV while it advances, etc. I really want something like this because these games are getting so beautiful with the details of the cinematic graphics, but it's rare that while playing you get to appreciate it up close...
One detail I find great is that the projectiles can get intercepted by buildings instead of going through them. Also noticed the second tomahawk automatically flew upwards a little to avoid a building. I feel that adds a better dynamic of “anything VS arty” as you can actually use buildings/terrain as cover instead of the artillery going through it.
The game is haven for a RTS fan as far as I concern, it combined warthunder's customization, Wargame title's game play style and the game mod from World in conflict it got everything you would ever want to ask for. Also it is the first game in years that throw away the cold war era setting and moved it into mordern era.
The *only* thing it doesn't have that I enjoy is first person mode which I find quite enjoyable in Call to Arms. But overall this is a superior package and I can't wait until it comes out. Wargame should be scared lol
A taxi command would be great. Just select the vehicles and infantry and have the taxi command load them all up and unload them at the position of your choosing
I did notice a funny bug at 41:54 , you were able to bring in 3 squads of marines in one 26 seat osprey, and you can see your osprey at 43:12 has 39 of 26 seats filled. I wonder how high of a number you could bring in in one thing? Might be hilarious to have 60 men in a small helicopter.
Yeah if you select multiple squads it automatically adds extra transports but then if you remove the extra transports they can all come in a clown car, or helicopter in this case 😂
Probably so there’s a reason for you to play around with the aircraft to defend the landing crafts as otherwise you’d just be sitting there watching so probably mainly for the player to have something to do.
There must be a recognition of the arcade gaming element. If someone wanted to play a simulator they would play one of the big-name simulators. In reality that LCS would not be anywhere close to the land like that and those air-to-air engagements would occur over the horizon. But that's not much fun for an RTS.
@@fortusvictus8297 very true! Most if not all of those aerial engagements would have been at BVR ranges, what would be the point in doing that in an RTS like this
Only thing I see you lacking is infantry using multiple squads together. A force recon, marine, and smaw platoons will all fit together in the medium to large buildings and using them together as a fire team absolutely annihilates enemy forces
one thing that i saw on my gameplay is that a team of snipers and a squad of infantrymen can do well against 3 full squads of enemie infantrymen, my front squad were with only 3 guys holding it from the begining and the recon/sniper team were sniping the shit out of the 3 enemie squads, op. And more, the sniper squad on another gameplay put them in the bushes going north and they were eliminating the targets without any problem, thats what they were trained to do i guess
We don't really see what the enemy squads consist of currently, so they might be the cheapest infantry for the Rus. The AI doesn't always seek cover so they get slaughtered quickly vs a player. Another thing to consider is American Squads are generally larger than Russian Squads organically.
You can also have artillery fire in straight lines, which is great for smoke or creeping barrages! If you select an artillery unit it's right there on the abilities (unsure if there's a hotkey)
Hi Vulcan, I don't a PC to play but I'm a big time fan of yours and I love strategy games big time. Always love your content as it is the closest I get to playing the games. I think if they could leave destroyed vehicles on the battle field on broken arrow it will make the game more realistic. I notice they all disappear, unlike warno.
Hey Vulcan, you might have failed the "hold the high rise" objective because you didn't have units in all 3 of the buildings within the capture square.
Really looking forward to this, looking forward to a new World in Conflict, even if it's just a spiritual successor. Such a good idea to borrow from both Wargame and WiC, too.
My only real complaint is all the frigging screaming from the officers. Hopefully they have an option to just turn that sort of stuff off. This does look super good though, def has my interest.
Yay 4th comment. Can’t wait for Broken Arrow! Not sure if the story can top World in Conflict, but looks great still! Oh and multiplayer for World in Conflict, I played the crap out if it… so addictive. It still has a small but active MP community if anyone is interested. Hopefully Broken Arrow can be the spiritual successor to WiC. Edit: Vulcan, do you know how many units each side will be able to have on the map? Don’t want it to be to micro-intensive.
I'm not expecting a WiC level (Or even WARNO level) after playing the demo. Also plays rather differently in the campaign demo compare to WiC given the bigger scale
I am very pleased from the first time you played this that you learned the game mechanics to better assist you. You are definitely my most favorite strategic game UA-camr. Thank you for your plays and content.
It's the scale, and for the record they are actually going rather fast. For example, a tomahawk is sub-sonic but in this game appears to cover miles in just a few seconds. The flight time on long range dragon shots can be as much as 10-12 seconds irl.
@@VulcanHDGaming All the audio except your voiceover is "clipping" or "choppy". Still enjoyed your playthrough though. Was just curious if it was the game or some rendering/recording issue.
in the main menu there is a panel with control keys hotkeys, try it very conveniently so that you do not click actions with the mouse =) You can also call in helicopters to transfer supplies from one point to another, if there are some kilograms of supplies left there. well, equipment and marines can be transported on turntables. Ty for video content man!
They are including prototypes from the 2000's, the Dragon 3 was in developemnt in case the javelin faced any setbacks. So it's in as a supplementary, the javelin is in the armoury, don't worry.
I think being able to refill infantry units is a bit too cheesy. You shouldn't be able to refill infantry with just supplies. A better alternative is a merging function that allows you to merge multiple infantry units with casualties into full units, for a price and/or combat debuff.
It’s a good video but you’re playing a little too fast to be able to actually demonstrate some of the details of the game. Have you done one where you go through it more slowly and thoroughly? Cheers
@@VulcanHDGaming you left the stinger squad on the other side of the river, making it possible for those aircrafts to bomb you. They be sitting on top the osprey like Russians sitting on top of BTRs
Tbf more than that has probably been stuffed into an Osprey before. When needs must the pilot is often willing to bust the tolerances.
T-72 just chilling.
Tomahawk: How about no?
Like a reimagined World in Conflict, love it
22:43 lol, missile took out the commander before he could finish speaking
They need a cooldown time on the voice chatter. Having them continuously yelling overtop of one another is annoying every time you click on a unit.
They are planning to tone it down I believe.
Why doesn't the Arleigh Burke not have SAMs?? It's kind of known for it's AA ability.
For some reason that's the biggest thing I noticed in all these showcases and it irked me so bad
Probably so there’s a reason for you to play around with the aircraft to defend the landing crafts as otherwise you’d just be sitting there watching so probably mainly for the player to have something to do.
Maybe it's been depleted from defending the fleet over the last so week or such. Who knows what has been going on beyond the demo time.

Hey Vulcan, you might have failed the "hold the high rise" objective because you didn't have units in all 3 of the buildings within the capture square.
