It's always especially hard when they die so young. I just lost one of my cats to cancer two weeks ago and two of her children both passed away from different forms of cancer within the last 18 months. I still have 2 of her children, but I feel like my family has been decimated in such a short time.
I recently lost a 5-year old as well. He was a Norwegian Forest Cat with a similar colour and disposition to Nagi. I happy/sad at most videos with him.

He still chases random thing around the house, still comes to the door to welcome me home, and sticks to me all night on the couch/bed. They're the most playful, gentle, and loving cats I've ever seen.

It's because he's not a kitten anymore! He's grown into an adult cat and he's chilled way out like Haku did. Having an even younger cat running around also does this, that's what partly what happened to Haku when Poki came home.
