I first found Sawyer before The Voice on UA-cam singing "Any Of My Trouble" and I was floored by the lyrics. The line "So set my heart down in the cold, let it freeze so I will know, how it feels to be shattered, when you go" absolutely slayed me. Then I found out he was 14 years old when he wrote that song. It only made me want to dig deeper into his artistry. I was very pleasantly rewarded when I listened to all the songs that he had written starting from earlier than age 12 !! I've been hooked ever since. The Voice was awkward for me to watch knowing what a true talent Sawyer is in his ability's. As it turned out, he felt kind of awkward there as well. Sawyer is most comfortable when he's performing, writing and on his family's farm with family and friends. His voice, his "UBER" songwriting talent, his musical talents in general, are all stand alone qualities. In his very own skin, his true north is the music, the lyrics, and his art

Still following this talented young man. My husband and I voted him in The Voice 2015. Estatic that he won. Now that he is still creating music I see him as another breed up there with James Taylor - seriously talented beyond his years.
Reminds me of john goggerty his idol also. Wish ao much 2 see him tour with him. Id dedinately be there n ifcourse with sawyer alone. Lobe ya sawyer fredricks n i also voted all 50 times eveeytime .i wud not been happy if he hadnyvwon. He stayed on topball way thru n deserved this . Also thanks pherral eilliams for helping him along
The way Sawyer sings makes me feel so connected with this song - "u said it will be better", "lies u tell". Sawyer the Lyricist is so amazing. I have to say too, that Sawyer's guitar playing is just as amazing Please please record this song!

I hope this winds up on his slbum but Sawyers got so many great songs, he can do 2 albums..i have my Sawyer tribute wall up in my new house..i framed my autographed posters, cd's, i have several passes, several tshirts and best of all my tattoo of the Hide your Ghost art..its on my forearm for eternity and i gladly tell my Sawyer stories and why that is so meaningful..i got my tattoo in Tampa Florida and the next night they played my hometown of Boca Raton at the Funky Bisquit and brought the house down! If you listen to The Funky Biscuit recording, that is all my obnoxious voice in the background that you hear throughout the entire video. I was a little over-excited, we're talkin about Sawyer after all and he is my idol so I got a little overly excited and I thought I ruined the video Until I watch some other videos with people that were screaming louder than I was lol now I don't feel so bad
Unfortunately, no. It's only a song he's performed live. It was apparently written while he was working on A Good Storm, but never made it onto the album. In case you missed it though, he does have a new album "Hide Your Ghost," with lots of other great songs, coming out on March 30th :)
