Sometimes UA-cam gets its recommended videos spot on. This is the first of your videos I’ve seen and now I need to grab a giant mug of tea and start watching them all! You are an amazing teacher! I’m new to SnC but I’ve been teaching software for decades. Hearing your detailed thought process step by step is perfect for my brain. I’m using Canvas and the SnC to design machine appliqué and embroidery and my mind is now racing, wildly inspired by you. Thank you! I hope you’re feeling much better very soon!

Hi Mel, I am so glad that you are back, I have missed you, I think your videos are great, I just love watching you sooooooooo much, you are a great teacher, but I do hope that you take care of yourself, so that we get more of this each month, thanks again, Cheers Anna, from Australia.

It's great to have you back. This kind of blew my mind. I shall have to watch it many times before I really get it I think. I would have loved to see it cut out at different stages to understand what we would do with them. Thanks Mel for teaching us all this. xx

Thank you for working in the online version of Canvas Workspace! I do most of my work (playing?) on my iPad and only have access to the online version but most people describe what they are doing in the downloaded version and I can’t do it. Again, thank you so much!

What a brilliant tutorial Mel. Learned loads and realised that I don't use divide enough! On your last point of making drawer fronts for advent calendars, I did exactly that and made a frame to go around them. Two frames put together and I had an advent "book". The fact my SNC could cut out all the boxes, frames and patterned papers was great.

I find it easier to add a fill colour to my shapes first, then when I "weld" or "divide" them it's much easier to anticipate the effect

I like to make cakes for family and would like to make make toppers but the ones I've made the fonts are a bit thin when I've reduced the size to fit.
