This series for the Scan n Cut is, by far, the best I’ve hit upon. I’m laying in bed and have watched the first two episodes and I can’t wait until I get up later to get started. I’ve had my SDX 125e for two and a half years and have been too afraid to use it. It’s 3 am in Ontario, Canada when I’m watching this! Thank you, Mel. Brother should have a link on the registration card to this site.

Scoring was so much easier on my cricut. I only got rid of Cricut because I disliked it's design space which was quite limited

I use a scoring tool in the pen holder and use a draw line on highest pressure. Then it actually scores, not cut.

Do i need a vinyl blade for cutting vinyl on my sdx1000 or the Auto blade can do the job? Pls help

I loved the whole stream thanks. In this stream you mention about sharing with Brother a request about some update ideas that you have. I have heard you share before that you have contacts with Brother. I was wondering if they will ever add a Contour tools similar to what Cricut software has? I only use Brother machines, but I noticed how convenient the Contour tool would be in Canvas workspace projects. Unless you have an idea of what works close to that tool in Canvas workspace. I have asked this question to Cricut content creators and they had no idea of what to suggest. I have learned so much with your tutorials. I thought I would go to reliable source and ask if you could help. Thanks!

HI< I Typed Happy Birthday from the Machine then I accidently deleted it I knew I wouldn't get the right size or position but I just put the foil on rubbed it and it came off lovely

Hello Mel, Thank you for these great tutorial videos. I have had my machine since Dec 2022 and am just now coming across your tutorials. Quick question though, if you don’t mind; I live in France and the Brother website doesn’t show any updates for my machine. I do not see the icon that looks like a cube with a red square and blue circle on top (right hand side just above the OK button). Can you tell me what this button does please? Mel, thanks for this tutorial. I have to say I am one of those people that have had a scan and cut for 18months and used it once. This is my new year resolution for 2025…yes I know I am late to the party😂 but excited to learn and probably save myself a lot of money by not buying loads of dies.
