The Boys follow it. Now the Girls have assembled their own trifecta, with Violet as the Smarty, Webby as the Toughy, and Lena as the Sharpy.
I believe "sharper than the sharpies" did come from the original comics, but the catchphrase was often shortened, and it got left out over time. That's why Scrooge tells Louie that people always forget about that bit.
With Lena being my favorite character in the duck universe period it took forever to get her back in my opinion and her relationships between webby and violet are awesome just wish they got more screen time with violet's sibling energy and webby and Lena's roommate energy
Duck stories in general, and DuckTales in particular, haven't historically had a lot of female characters. When they've been around, they've usually been of temporary importance at best, or relegated to just having the role of _The Girl._ So as a long-time watcher/reader of this stuff, I absolutely love what the 2017 series did in reinventing old characters (Webby and Beakley), fleshing out ones that barely existed (Della), and introducing new ones (Lena, Violet, Penumbra, etc.). As a rule, I adore them all. 7:37 Rakshasa are a demon-adjacent race of creatures featured in Hinduism, Buddhism, et al.. They've famously been appropriated in Wizards of the Coast properties like D&D and Magic: The Gathering, where they've been portrayed as cat demons... which is incorrect. DuckTales' writers love dropping mythological references in addition to making vague but saucy implications about some of the characters' pasts. 14:22 As an elder millennial, I'll forever be scarred by the cancellation of The Pirates of Dark Water (1991). It pretty much ended at the story's halfway point. 15:08 Animation error with the friendship bracelet there. She put it in her pocket earlier in the episode, and it appears on and disappears from her wrist during this scene.

Now, with the introduction of Violet Webby now has her own female counterpart to the 2017 Triplets; Violet is the Huey, Webby is the Dewey, Lena is the Huey.
interestingly enough, the triplets were themselves counterparts to mickey's TWIN nephews, but outlasted and surpassed them as characters by every metric.
Even though it's good to have Lena back, I absolutely love the subplot with Beakley and Launchpad bonding. One small detail that always confused me: In the episode that introduced DW to this show, there was a billboard sign that said "Join SHUSH". Later it was revealed that Beakly was a member of SHUSH. So SHUSH exists both in a show and in the world of Ducktales?!?

I mean, I think what makes Webby special is she has this deadly combo of brains and skills. She is hyper competent in both physical and intellectual tasks, it's just the social skills she struggles with. Violet strikes me as being all brains - she just loves learning. She can't parkour over a fence like Webby can. And where Webby is over-enthusiastic about everything, Violet is very calm. She doesn't care so much about social stuff, though she's willing to engage.

So what Launchpad is doing is basically showing someone who is a fan of the classic adventure detective dime novels the Adam West Batman show. Batman is in that same archetype...to the point many modern fans mistake Batman as the original as most modern takes borrow more from Batman than his predecessors. Darkwing Duck though was a combination of Batman and the Shadow, as a clever joke by the show runners at the time. As for Violet, a kid that really gets into witchy stuff, you'd be surprised what some kids can learn when they are really interested in the subject and hyper focus. Also Tulpa is a real world mysticism thing, used often to explain Ouija boards and some hauntings. Basically in real life its this idea that if you believe something strongly enough and pour enough emotion into it, then it will psychically manifest, but as a mix of your beliefs, subconscious fears, and more often requiring a group so a mix of that. So go into a Ouija board with friends expecting some evil, and your group will manifest a combine mental construct that will be evil...basically making a psionic robot that you just turned on yourself because your group believes its a demon from Hell. There are also *suspect* books from 1970s and so "mystics" claiming to travel to the far east and study ways to make them. One woman claiming with focus and concentration to make a shadow person man, but keeping it going and controlled was exhausting, and one little slip up in emotions, like showing it fear (thus projecting fear into it, as in her fearing it causing it to reflect this...thus giving her more reason to fear it as it is now being programmed to be something to fear as that becomes what is expected of it). So had to learn to dispel it before it got stronger and more dangerous.
I've heard that Violet was loosely based on Egon from the Ghostbusters, but a lot of fans seem to think she's somewhere on the spectrum, in which case all her obscure knowledge could be the result of various hyperfixations

I actually think season 4 of Infinity Train is great. It was basically just the season version of a breather episode between the dark season 3 and what was supposed to be the upcoming movie. Granted, it's still Infinity Train, so there was serious emotional stuff, but nothing as deadly as what we saw before.

Lena's Back! Unfortunately since she's a part of Magika, that means Magika is back as well. This trio is designed to give Webby her own "team" rather than just have her tagging along with the triplets, each one mirroring the boys in some way. Violet out-Junior Woodchucking Huey being a good example.
At least Infinity Train got a fourth season, for better or worse. The biggest disappointment for me personally of an animated show being canceled before the story was concluded was Final Space. I loved that show. It was a grown-up sci-fi animated show almost like a Rick and Morty type show but had more of the character building and drama I was looking for in a series like that. Only ran 3 seasons, the last season ending on a massive cliffhanger and one main character of the group becoming corrupted and hellbent on revenge against her former friends. Despite this abrupt cancelation, I'd still recommend it for fans of sci-fi animated shows.

I don't remember if they've said Webby or her friends' exact ages so I won't either, but 8 is too young as a guess and I think the audience is supposed to know that by this point in the show, so it's not a reveal.

Magica was broken into parts, when Gosalyn Mallard shows up, the Three of them become one. They'll become Magica, again and killed Webby.

Lena's Back! Unfortunately since she's a part of Magika, that means Magika is back as well.
This trio is designed to give Webby her own "team" rather than just have her tagging along with the triplets, each one mirroring the boys in some way. Violet out-Junior Woodchucking Huey being a good example.
Magica didn't disappear after she was defeated, she was just forced to use stage magic to retreat.

At least Infinity Train got a fourth season, for better or worse. The biggest disappointment for me personally of an animated show being canceled before the story was concluded was Final Space. I loved that show. It was a grown-up sci-fi animated show almost like a Rick and Morty type show but had more of the character building and drama I was looking for in a series like that. Only ran 3 seasons, the last season ending on a massive cliffhanger and one main character of the group becoming corrupted and hellbent on revenge against her former friends. Despite this abrupt cancelation, I'd still recommend it for fans of sci-fi animated shows.
